Disney Transportation from Ft Wilderness to Resorts?

Hello,
My parents will be staying at Ft Wilderness and we are considering staying at Yacht or Beach Club.

While I realize that a MK hotel would be easier access for them to meet up with us, the MK hotels are a minimum of $1500 more  for our stay.

Is there boat transportation between Ft Wilderness and the EPCOT resorts or EPCOT? It's been a while since I stayed on-site and used the boats.

My gut tells me that they'd need to boat to TTC and hop monorail to EPCOT and walk through EPCOT to get to either of these resorts.

TIA!! :flower1:

They can take the boat to MK and then take the monorail to the EPCOT. They could then take a bus from EPCOT to Yacht or Beach. Unless they are going to EPCOT for the day or have hopper passes, it's a waste of a ticket to walk through the park to get to the resort.

No direct boat service between FW and Epcot. In your example, they could take the boat from FW to Magic Kingdom and then catch any resort bus from the Bus loop. Waste of time going to Epcot and then walking thru Epcot to reach the Epcot area resorts.

Have you priced out Wilderness Lodge, Copper Creek Villas, Boulder Ridge Villas or the garden wing rooms at the Contemporary? WL typically prices out around the same price as YC/BC. From Ft. W, you can take a short boat ride directly to any of these resorts.

If none of those resorts work for you and you want them to meet up with you at your resort, it would be much easier for them to uber/lyft/Minnie Van over to you than take WDW transportation.

There is no body of water that connects Fort Wilderness to Epcot, so no, no boats

There is no bus from Epcot to the YC/BC You would walk from the International Gateway exit if WS, or take a Friendship launch

It is very tricky to travel between FW and just about any resort that isn't in the MK area. One of the problems is that people staying at FW have to take two forms of transportation to get anywhere, such as internal bus to boat dock for MK or internal bus to main park bus depot for park and Disney Springs buses. If you are staying at Yacht Club or Beach Club then the best way to get to FW is either by taking the boat to Hollywood Studios and then the bus to FW or the bus to MK then the boat to FW. Both of those routes will take between 45 minutes to an hour and a half based on how long you have to wait for buses. The best way to meet up in this situation would be to meet at the parks.

We love the Yacht Club/Beach Club resorts and understand why you would like to stay there. But we also love the WL and staying there would make things a lot easier if your parents are at FW. You can walk to FW, take a bus or take a boat to FW. The room costs are similar for those deluxe resorts.

No water connects the Epcot resorts and MK area resorts. The easiest way is for your parents to boat/bus to MK. Then take the BC/YC bus from MK. This bus will let them off at the front of either the BC or YC resort, wherever you are staying. It's MUCH shorter than taking the monorail to Epcot or the boat from HS. (I've stayed at the YC/BC many times.)

Thanks for all the input. Your answers helped me to know that the MK resorts are better for us this trip. We booked the Bay Lake Tower 1br villa since it gives us two bathrooms and will easily accommodate us and our 20yr old son should he decide to join us. THANKS!!
