favorite shampoo

I also have very fine hair. My daughter is a hairdresser and she gave me the Paul Mitchell Lemon Sage thickening shampoo. I love it - smells great too!

This is not really budget related because I am not necessarily looking for a budget shampoo. I am willing to spend a little money to get something worth it. So what is your favorite shampoo? I have fine, wavy hair, (but like to wear it straight) that tends to get frizzy. What have you used that you like?

OP here. I know this thread is almost one year old. I finally ran out of the Nexxus shampoo that I purchases at Costco. I went to restock and Costco only sells the Nexxus as a combo shampoo and conditioner for around $30. Since I don't need the conditioner yet, I decided to try Kirkland brand shampoo which they sell individually for only $10. I LOVE it. Can't wait till the Nexxus conditioner runs out so I can get the Kirkland. Just thought I would update in case anyone is thinking about trying the Kirkland Shampoo.

I tried the Kirkland shampoo and HATED it. I currently use the Nexxus but it is almost gone and bought something else from Costco to replace it. I can't remember what exactly, though. lol

I use OGX Lavender Shampoo & Conditioner for color treated hair. My hair is not only color treated, but has a natural wave which tends to be frizzy whether I go more natural or blow dry it out. I think a product that specifically tames frizz is a good idea.
I agree with OGX Shampoo, I use the OGX Awapuhi Ginger on my fine but frizzy hair and it makes it sleek and beautiful. I have to try the Lavender one now, thanks for the tip.

Matrix Biolage Scalpsync anti dandruff shampoo. I like to stock up on the big bottles when Ulta has their sales.

I buy Gilchrist and Soames in gallon bottles and transfer it to 8 oz plastic bottles. A gallon cost around $89 without a discount and no shipping costs, but I usually try for at least 20% or more off and free shipping. My favorite is Bee Kind with Bathe a close second.

I picked up the Kirkland once to replace the Nexxus and figured if I didn't like it I would stick it in the kids shower. The kids are happy enough using it up for me! Same with the big Tresemme pump I bought at Wal-Mart to try and save money.

Trenty - I'm glad you found that both can work for you! I may try something entirely different next time I run out based on all the great recommendations here!

I am always torn as to which aspect of my hair to treat, it's highlighted, fine, wavy, sometimes frizzy! I usually buy for color treated to make that last since that costs me money! :rotfl2:I have been using Loreal for Color Treated hair for years. When I see I need to go for highlights I use Garnier for fine hair to give it a break from the other shampoo.

You have got me wanting to try this shampoo and conditioner.

Today instead of using conditioner I dumped a small bit of apple cider vinegar in my hair. It conditions nicely, but I wouldn’t use it all the time. Has anyone else ever tried it?

They have tons of fragrances. We found Bee Kind at one of the Glacier National Park hotels and that's when I started buying it, first in smaller bottles, now in gallons.

Thanks! Just noticed they have 30% off if you buy 3 or more items.
