Orlando airport Hyatt breakfast buffet

Anyone ever done this late in the breakfast service?

I’m traveling in late with some folks from the west coast who probably won’t want to eat anytime before 10 am (the restaurant stops serving breakfast at 11 am).

So I’m curious about the selection and freshness of the food during the latter part of the service (i.e., are they good about replenishing items at this time).

Can't speak about the buffet but I would add that I personally would not want a eat big breakfast that soon before boarding the ship. They have many food options for lunch onboard that I would prefer. When we stay at the Hyatt we just run down to the Starbucks right outside the Hyatt to grab something small to hold us over until lunch on the ship. I figure I am already paying for the food on the ship, why pay for a big breakfast when in just a few hours I'll be eating all I want onboard.

Just another point of view.

I just ate there this morning and was seated around 9:30am. I had booked a rate that included breakfast. Everything was stocked and didn't appear picked over. I lingered in the hotel, opting to take a transfer that would get me to port just prior to the rooms opening, so I grabbed lunch in cabanas just prior to 2pm.

Agree 100% with this if we were boarding the ship that same day (it wouldn't make sense to go to a breakfast buffet at 10 am in those circumstances).

However, we're actually staying at at WDW resort the night after staying at the airport Hyatt and then boarding the ship the next day. Under those circumstances, I thought it would be nice to have a nice breakfast before heading over to WDW.

I probably should have explained this in my OP, as most cruisers who stay at the airport Hyatt are probably boarding the ship the next day (and not going over to WDW for a day in-between).

Whenever we stay there, we also book the rate that includes the buffet. I'm not sure what time we usually arrive down there for breakfast. Probably before 9:00, though. I would assume they're good about keeping the food fresh - considering it's a pricey place.

Just because it's a buffet, that doesn't mean you need to eat a ton of food. : ) And you've got an hour long bus ride ahead of you, too. Plus check in at the port, boarding the ship, etc.

That makes total sense then....sorry I can't help with the freshness of the buffet but I would think they would replenish things even if it is later in the morning. Have fun!!! Sounds like a nice way to ease into your vacay.
