What! I am a late bloomer, just getting into Jeopardy over the past few years.

My dad died of pancreatic cancer.

I hope Alex Trebek is true to his word and beats the odds. I am saddened to hear his diagnosis with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer :sad1:

Wow so sad my brother has this too and is actually going into his 5 th year which is rare . Prayers for him and his family.

So very sad. We need a cure for all these wretched cancers.

My MIL passed away from pancreatic cancer, such a terrible disease, my thoughts go out to Alex and his family.

I just saw this and came to see if anybody had posted about it yet.

I like his joke about how he's under contract for another 3 years. :rotfl: If he doesn't beat it, I'm sure they won't fine him for dying. That would be beyond cruel to his family.

Oh no! I watch that show every night I can. I have a friend who was diagnosed
4 or 5 years ago where it spread to her liver and her doctors say she is a miracle. I don’t want to jinx anything but she looks great if you did not know she has it you would have no clue. I hope he does just as well.

This is so sad to hear. My friend’s dad passed from pancreatic cancer last year. Such an awful disease. I hope he gets through this, I just adore him and Jeopardy.

What is that sucks?!

I was very sad to hear this. I haven’t watched Jeopardy lately as much as I used to, but I always enjoyed the show and Mr. Trebek.

I hate this, hope he beats the odds as well as the other that know people who are fighting it now. I just hate to here the words pancreatic cancer, like many of you on this thread, its hurt me also, my dad passed away from it, to this day he was the kindest and funniest man I ever knew

My stepfather, and my beloved grandfather (my moms husband and father) both were taken by this horrible disease within 5 months of each other back in 2008. Pancreatic cancer is awful, like low-key said, just hearing the words makes me shudder.

Rooting for you Alex.

I know someone who died from pancreatic cancer. The person lived 18 months after diagnosis. They were lucky. Most don't make it to 6 months after being diagnosed. I hope that Alex Trebek gets to be in the ~5% who make to the 5 year mark, but the odds are against him. It's a horrible disease.
