Anyone ever received "pixie dust" for celebrating something at WDW?

A CM gave my DS a free soft pretzel on his third birthday, when he was wearing his birthday button.

We came back to find a signed photo of Mickey and Minnie with congratulations for our anniversary. I also loved that the CMs told us happy anniversary when scanning our FastPasses. I wasn’t expecting anything, so it was a special surprise.

We noted my daughter's birthday on our room reservation last summer and we came back to our room one day to find a personalized signed photo card from Mickey Mouse! There was also a birthday card waiting on our table at BOG at dinnertime and several free cupcakes at various restaurants. She really hit the birthday jackpot.

My daughter was wearing the birthday cupcake ears at the Screen Door at the Boardwalk. A CM asked her if it was her birthday (her 4th birthday was the following day.) My daughter told her that and a few minutes later when I was checking out, the CM secretly asked me if she could give her a cupcake for her birthday. The CM came back out and surprised my daughter with a yellow Belle cupcake with the red rose. She felt so special, was totally surprised and I teared up from her reaction :)

I've received room upgrade but I can't say for certain it was because we were celebrating something. There's been other items of note provided but I have no idea why
I don't ever provide a celebration expecting to receive something

We have celebrated many things over the years at Disney. The two biggest things that I remember was a one night free upgrade to the BWI CL from a standard room, and a totally decorated room and cake for my husbands 50 birthday at the AKL CL. The upgraded room was probably because we were staying for ten days at the BWI CL but on our first arrival night we were coming in late and when we booked CL was not available for the first night so we booked a standard room. I assume the room assigner found us a CL room for the one night but we were celebrating our anniversary. The birthday spread at the AKL was really a big surprise to come back to our room to find it decorated with balloons and cards from the characters along with a cake plates and cups.

In more recent years we have had many free desserts at some signature restaurants and a lot of cast members wishing us happy birthday.

On our last stay at Coronado, it was my Birthday. On the last night, I got an envelope in the room that had some luggage tags and plane tickets in it. Telling me to be at the bus stop to get me back home from free. Along with a credit card itemized receipt on what was billed on my credit card.

It was very special.

We've celebrated the kids birthdays at Disney a few times. They've received free birthday cupcakes at some restaurants.

We've never had a room upgraded.

We didn't get a room upgraded or anything, but when we had an anniversary button we got free stuff all week (usually small things, like mini cupcakes & grey stuff, but once a free Lefou's Brew) and the Dapper Dans helped my boyfriend serenade me, which was awesome!

I have received several. 6 years ago, celebrating my 60th birthday I received my own parade with Pooh and all the characters at the Crystal Palace. I received a cupcake and all the characters came over at Chef Mickeys and swept me up for another solo parade. I also got a special annoucement and kisses from Cinderella and the step sisters at 1900 Parkfare. That was 2013. My wife and I also celebrate our wedding anniversay every year. The last three years we have had balloons in the room when we arrived, along with assorted treats and coffee mugs. One year (2015) we received beach blankets and a picture frame along with the treats. All from simply acknowledging with the CM when we make our reservation that we are celebrating our anniversary.

We (i) get alot of anytime fast passes when we go from guest services. Veterans, Especially just returning from over seas can get that perk. You may have to mention it.. but when we booked over the phone I got connected to guest services...The last time we went they got applied that way. Got two every day we had a park ticket. We always get 6 day base tickets...so that was 12 FP's Its happened since 2011 and even at DLR in 2018.
And thats not counting the 3 you book your self. At DL you get them once you arrive..as they have old school FP (which i love).

We have celebrated several milestones at Disney, and the pixie dust has been limited to the fill-in-the-blank button. :)

When I set up the Magical Express, the CM on the phone asked if we were celebrating anything. I told her it was our anniversary. She immediately said she was making a note because they "definitely want to celebrate that with us". What do you think that means? Has anyone ever gotten anything "special" because Disney knew the trip was for an anniversary or similar event? Just curious. :)

The Boardwalk Inn Cast Members had a Mickey cake and balloons delivered to my room to celebrate a milestone birthday. Upon checking in to the resort, the CM inquired about celebrating and I stated it was my birthday. It was a lovely and unexpected sweet surprise. I have stayed at the Boardwalk Inn about 10 times over the last several years, so that might have something to do with the pixie dust.

Kids have gotten cupcakes for dessert at meals when it was their birthday.

Once, totally random and not related to any celebration, we were chosen as the AKL family of the day, which involved an upgrade to savannah view room! And chocoates on the pillows. Kids, being young, thought this thing happened all the time and wanted to know where their chocolates were the next time we went to a hotel.

I had wondered this too when I brought my 83 year old parents. They were first time visitors AND celebrating that week a 63rd wedding anniversary! I kind of expected them to get some kind of attention but nope, nothing. At one restaurant they did get a free dessert but at our resort, the GF, nothing was said or done.

I’ve had some good luck with pixie dust. I’ve gotten a lot of free desserts for birthdays and a private ride on Tower of Terror for a special celebration, was beyond cool. I recently had the most amazing upgrade to a suite at Grand Floridian and I have no idea why they did it, maybe because we were only there for a night. But I don’t ever expect anything. Almost half my trips were for my birthday and only a few had special things done. It’s a nice surprise when it happens, but it’s definitely not expected

My daughter and I stayed at the AKL Kidani Village in 2015 to celebrate both of us graduating from college. Cast members delivered a tray of Chocolate covered strawberries to our room. It was so sweet that they did this for us and we enjoyed the pixie dust very much.

Like everyone said, it's really hit and miss. I celebrated my birthday last September on a 10 day trip, and got a free birthday dessert one day at dinner. This February I went with my Mom and we got upgraded to Club Level for one night and lots of free cupcakes/desserts for her birthday. It's hit and miss, but celebrate yourself! :)
Wow that's amazing.
