Flights to Barcelona

We are booked on a Northern Europe cruise next year and we are flying to London first as it is the cheapest city to fly into for us. We are spending a few days there exploring and then flying to Copenhagen. This year the flights are $41 one way to Copenhagen. I like Sky Scanner and Flight Hopper as you can put an alert in for your flight and the app will email when a good price pops up. We got a good deal to Costa Rica using Skyscanner.

We too are doing the northern europe cruise next year! We did the 7 nt instead of the longer one. It's too early for me to plan that one. I'm still working on this years EBTA!!

We are actually flying from Portland, OR and staying overnight in Dallas in order to fly to Madrid. We are staying there a couple of days and then taking a train to Barcelona. We wanted to use miles as well, and could not find any flights from Portland to Barcelona that were not overly expensive. We looked at a map to find other large cities near Barcelona, saw Madrid, plugged it in and...we are flying to Europe for about $25 per person for four of us.

Now that's what I call a deal!

They have secured a $350MM funding from a Norwegian investor. Their problem was, they expanded too fast. I think they are consolidating now and focusing on profitable routes.

Their transatlantic routes in the summer are - in fact - their big money makers.

Right now, I'd be a little concerned with how the grounding of the 737-max is affecting the airline's financials. It's the aircraft they were using for tatl routes out of my area.

My DD and her friends all flew from Barcelona to EWR last night on Norwegian. She said it was surprisingly really nice and she liked the dreamliner too. She usually flies with us and hadn't tried a budget airline to Europe until now and she says she'd recommend it. It was really inexpensive, too. Since this was a group of college kids on a budget trip for spring break cost was the #1 factor and Norwegian won out for the flight back (although United won for the flight to Barcelona). Hope this helps.
