Okay. This is widely variant however given I am looking for pleasant experience vs. cost please tell me which resort in rank order based on experience for another stay...French Quarter, Coronado Springs, Yacht Club, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge. Thank you!

Yacht Club
Animal Kingdom Lodge (if booking savanna, otherwise it is below WL)
Wilderness Lodge
POFQ

Never stayed at Coronado.

We have had delightful stays at all four of the above resorts. Each one has different pros and cons.

Yacht club, wilderness Lodge, Animal kingdom Lodge, french quarter, Coronado.

I love Yacht club area the most.... although I prefer the Beach Club side of it. This may just be because I normally have children jumping all over the place, running around from excitement etc. I then feel bad if they get in the way of someone at a conference wearing a suit etc .

Wilderness Lodge has such a great vibe to me! Low key, relaxing etc. We have only had one visit here...... I just prefer to be able to walk or monorail to at least a couple of parks, so probably won't return.

My kids LOVE Animal kingdom Lodge.....me....eh. I am not a huge animal enthusiast and every time I have stayed the buses seem to take forever!

French Quarter is quaint, and have beautiful grounds. We stayed here only once about 8 years ago. It was a nice trip.

Have never stayed at Coronado. It doesn't appeal to me.
Have a great trip wherever you choose to stay!

We've stayed at all but PQFQ so here's our opinion:

YC-one of our absolute favorite resorts along with BC. Love walking to two parks and the pool is great. Have had good rooms every stay.
AKL-but we always choose savanna view.
Coronado-haven't stayed at the other Mods but we love it there and really do't have any desire to stay at the others.
WL-I know, we aren't in the majority but we probably won't stay there again. Had room problems, CM in the club were not what we were used to. Had our only disappointing stay there.

Wilderness, AK, Yacht Club.

Never stayed at the other two, but would put French Quarter at the top of the Mod list b/c it's smaller than the others. Will be staying at the new Coronado Tower in September, so I'll know then what I think of that :)

Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort on property, and I visit there nearly every trip even if not staying there. Animal Kingdom Lodge is GORGEOUS and so relaxing. I have stayed at both Jambo House and Kidani and would do either again. We're staying at Yacht Club in June, so no firsthand experience other than our stay across the water at Boardwalk and dinner at Yachtsman.

AKL, best themed, good prices, Balcony
CSR, awesome moderate and has the new tower!, nice pool, beautiful theme
YC, nice access to Epcot and DHS PLUS Storm Along Bay, balcony
WL, good theming, boat to MK, balcony
POFQ, meh, it's OK, probably you lowest price

YC (beating AKL due to location)
AKL
WL
French Quarter (Have never stayed here but stayed at POR and explored. Very lovely grounds)
CSR

We always rent a car so buses are not an issue. We have loved our vacations in the Epcot Area but really loved YC for the calm and quietness but getting all the same amenities as Beach Club. We loved AKL and had a pool room. Loved the restaurants, ambiance, pool and just overall great trip. Pool room on 1st floor was an excellent location - near the pool entrance, main entrance and Mara. Kids also loved it.

CSR - we had a blah stay there the last time just prior to renovations. Might be better now but everything was dated and the pool was far from our room.

1. Yacht Club (or Beach Club or BWI, depending on what’s available & prices). Location, location, location. Can’t be beat. Great pool for adults and kiddos. Downside, it does cost more $$.

2. AKL or WL (tie). Which is better depends almost entirely on which theme you prefer. AKL Savanna rooms are priciest, but AKL is much more frequently deeply discounted than WL, even through public offerings. WL has the edge on transportation, with boat service to the MK. But we found the bus service at AKL to be pretty good, and only shared with Kidani. The other resorts can share buses at certain times, which definitely lengthens the trip. We felt that the theme & animals at AKL more than made up for the bus-only service.

3. POFQ - my favorite moderate. Small and pretty, with relatively short walks to the main building, pool, and bus stop. First on the bus when shared with POR. Convenient food court with easy & pleasant walking access to the larger food court and pool at POR. Advantage: least expensive (though not often discounted, and frequently only marginally less than AKL pool/standard after discounts are applied).

I’ve never stayed at Coronado, so can’t relate any experiences. Looks very pretty, though, if the theme appeals to you!

I’m going to stray a little bit from the others. I would put POFQ first.

POFQ
AKL

I haven’t stayed at the rest (although yatch club is on my wish list). I also own AKL DVC.

Why POFQ first? Because for the cost savings, the resort doesn’t feel lacking in anything. I know with going to a moderate I was hesitant as we were used to deluxes. The sheer size of most moderates scares me away from them, POFQ is still small. The food court is amazing, with lots of choices for a reasonable price point. The rooms were really nice and the grounds were great. We had a garden “view” room on the ground floor near the playground and it was close to everything. I have also stayed at Poly and GF and our best trip thus far was still POFQ. We would own it if it was DVC. It’s only negative was the bathroom sinks being essentially in the main room (with a privacy curtain), only because we are used to deluxe resorts. The cost savings allowed us to do a few extra things in our trip, which helped when the CDN $ is poor. Everything else considered it is our favourite.

With AKL as my home resort I will also recommend it. I have never stayed in a savannah room. We always get standards, and we were still able to see animals out our balcony. There are more “partial savannah views” in standard rooms then most people realize. There is always a catch though that you could end up with a parking lot view. So take everything into consideration.

I have stayed at both Wilderness Lodge and Coronado Springs. Wilderness Lodge is very beautiful and very nice no complaints there. Coronado Springs is very nice as well but very spread out and you have a lot of walking to do if you don't get a preferred room also construction is going on there.

With that said if I win the lottery tomorrow LOL I would be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I would most likely get a savannah view as well just to check out the animals. It is a gorgeous Resort and I've always wanted to stay there. I just can't afford it. YC would be number two just because of where it's located. I love going to Epcot and I do love going to Hollywood Studios from time to time. Also with the new Galaxy's Edge going there probably a lot of people be thinking the same thing that the resort over by the boardwalk will help them get the Disney Hollywood Studios a lot quicker. If it's me I'm staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge that's just my two cents. Good luck with your decision.

1. AKL - slightly edges out YC. YC has the location but AKL wins due to the unique theme. I could never get tired of watching the animals from the balcony! A standard view room at AKL is a great value for a deluxe resort IMO.
2. YC - amazing location, great pool, beautiful rooms
3. POFQ - only stayed one night here so far but it's just lovely and cute pool, great food
4. CSR - have had 3 great stays here. Such a beautiful resort with a relaxing feel. The new rooms here are kind of meh for me though
5. WL - I put this last only because I haven't stayed here since I was really young. We just bought DVC at CCV so hopefully we end up loving it!
