ADR on arrival day?

Thank you everyone for your opinions! I am going to try and talk him out of Disney Springs. I think we will try for Artist’s Point that night, but if we can’t get it go with another monorail resort restaurant. We are also meeting my dad and stepmom, who will be driving in and I’m not sure what time they’ll arrive. I think they’ll beat us there, but you never know.

One other question: would you eat at Ohana for dinner if you’re doing a breakfast later in the week? This is our first stay at Poly, but we’ve done the character breakfast. The kids definitely want to do it again. Would it be worth it to do a dinner that first night or should we use a table service credit somewhere different?

Okay, take this with a grain of salt as I've never eaten at Ohana. I would totally do both breakfast and dinner. Lots of people like to eat there so it's probably a good meal, and it's convenient and nearby. For those reasons, on our next trip (split stay with AKL 2nd) we're having dinner one night at Boma and breakfast another morning there. They'll be serving different food, so it's not like a total repeat.

Roomservice for sure. The kids love roomservice though and ask for it at home - they now think Doordash is home roomserice...lol!

We did both dinner and breakfast at ohana when we stayed. The food is different, and there are characters at breakfast, so it hardly even feels like the same place. And no matter where your room is, it's a nice short walk.

We are similar, landing at 1:30 and planning an ADR at CM if available. If not it will probably be something QS at MK that night before fireworks.

I like to do it if time allows, especially if we’re not going to a park. It’s nice to have an actual meal after traveling, and if it’s a character meal, you can knock some characters off your must-see list.
