Voice/Idol/Neither/Both?

I hadt watch either in years but when they brought Luke on to Idol, I had to see :)

I watch Idol now (pretty good season so far.) and The Voice Kids UK. These kids are AMAZING!

Watched Idol in the very beginning, with Kelly Clarkson Clay vs. Rubin, and Carrie Underwood.

Watched a few seasons of the Voice, then stopped, and now watch episodes here and there. I caught some recent shows and the singers this season are really good!

Voice until the lives, the last few seasons. Never really before. Idol on occasion.

I watched The Voice one year because one of my wife's coworkers had a family friend on the show. I'm not really interested in either.

Idol. Bobby Bones is my huge celebrity crush, so I am super excited to see him doing the mentoring.

Neither. Both on after my bedtime, and zero interest to DVR them.

BOTH. We dvr all the episodes and then watch them on the weekend. It's been hard to keep up with both on at the same time. We buzz thru a lot of the chit chat. I think The Voice should go down to once a year, and then air during a different season than Idol. The talent isn't spread so thin that way, too.

I was glad what Simon finally left Idol as he went out of his way to be needlessly rude/nasty/mean to the contestants and then acted surprised anyone took exception to his behavior. Whether it was an act by him encouraged by the producers or he was truly that clueless doesn't matter to me. You can critique someone without doing it in such a condescending manner.

Have you seen Simon on America's Got Talent? I think fatherhood (or age) has softened him. He is often the nicest judge, sometimes gets teary-eyed, comes on stage to hug contestants, and snuggles with every dog they bring on stage.

I watched Idol for a few seasons, but I didn't care for how they mocked people who couldn't sing. And for as many people who audition for that show, the number of specially talented singers that make it was pretty small.

I really enjoy the blind auditions part of The Voice. I think the mentoring aspect of the program is good and I like how the coaches provide constructive criticism as opposed to trying to be funny or shock people with their comments.

As the season progresses, however, I get less and less interested and probably couldn't name one former winner. But once the next round of blind auditions start, I'm back in. :)

See I'm the exact opposite. I found Simon to be the only honest judge. Randy was okay for a while. Once Simon left, that was it for me.

I watched The Voice for a few seasons but then became bored with it.

Same. I stopped watching Idol when Simon left. I've never watched the Voice.

I watch both- mostly on DVR so I can fast forward through the sob stories and other things and only watch the singing. On idol I can't stand seeing Luke Bryan, he has the goofiest grin I don't like looking at.

I watched the first few seasons of Idol and enjoyed it. At some point I was just over it, along with all the competition and reality shows. I do watch Amazing Race but it hasn't been on for a while.

Garbage TV. David Grohl said it best but it has naughty words so I can't post.

Voice, only. And only if I remember it is on. And typically only during the blind auditions.

Have you seen Simon on America's Got Talent?

I have. Part of the reason for my earlier comment that perhaps his Idol behavior was an act. Any reality show where the judges purposely try to belittle the contestants is a huge turn-off for me.

Neither. And I don't watch America's got no talent either or any other talent show. Now if they brought the gong show back with the unknown comic, maybe.
