What are the best things about Epcot?

1) Amazing selection of restaurants and QS locations
2) The relaxed feel of the park
3) Soarin and Test Track
4) Festivals

I have a good amount of negatives for Epcot. It was our least favorite park for years, but has continually grown on us, mainly due to my item number 2 above. It's just a nice place to be.

Dan

Soarin'
Test Track
the topiaries
the Festivals, especially F&W
Love the movies in China, France and Canada. Looking forward to updates soon.
World Showcase and the different cuisines available.

I can safely say that they are far from the "real deal" and are only Disney's interpretation of what they are really like
So the ICMs are "trained" by Disney NOT to be representative of their Countries.

I have never heard that and that has not been my experience in visiting with them-we have learned so much from them.

I love how many good options you have for viewing the fireworks. For a short person, it’s great that I can pretty easily find a good spot that won’t be disrupted by children on shoulders (looking at you MK).

To me, Epcot is the easiest park to spend an entire day in. There may not be a ton of headliner rides, but there is plenty to do and see (and eat, lol). It's got such a chill vibe that I never feel the need to escape it (as is sometimes the case with the others). In fact, it's the park to escape to when the others are becoming obnoxious.

IllumiNations is my sentimental fave of nighttime shows too. Glad I get to see it one last time in June.

Oh, and it's absolutely stunning during both Flower and Garden and Festival of the Holidays. I haven't had a chance to experience Food and Wine, but I thoroughly enjoyed the other two.

It’s the one park where I can relax a bit from the get-go. I eventually relax in the other parks after spending the first three hours in commando mode.

We arrive on May 1 on an am flight. Epcot will be our first stop until our room is ready.

Norway has always been my favorite World Showcase Pavillion and piqued my interest years ago for the trip we are finally taking to actual Norway in August.

I'd put drunks in t-shirts on the best list. :D We met one really fun group at the Rose and Crown ages ago who inspired us to do our own family Drink Around the World.

Other bests:
Food and drink
Illuminations
British Revolution

-All of the characters! I love doing character meets and Epcot has a ton of them with a really good variety of princesses, the fab five, and other characters you can't find at any other park.
-The food/drinkies, obviously
-I love Spaceship Earth and I love the classic disney feel about it. It's one of my favorite experiences in any of the parks.

Rides and attractions - I love them! There aren't a ton of them and they aren't high thrill type rides (other than maybe Test Track), but I enjoy them all and they have high repeatable factor to them.

World Showcase. I love the look and feel of that section of the park. Just walking around there is enjoyable, taking in the sights.

Dining - so many amazing and unique dining opportunities that are not at all typical theme park type places.

Iced Peach Oolong Tea from the China Pavilion. On a hot Florida day, it's my favorite refreshment!

For us, it was the ability to get away from the crowds. There are some fantastic nooks with very little foot traffic. We could find a bench and just enjoy the beauty.

We also fell in love with Spaceship Earth and Living With the Land. They may be older, but they were new to us as first timers. I appreciate the educational aspect that was the focus when the park first opened.

*Garden Grille (Tried this for the first time last October. Outstanding breakfast and character interactions, the revolving element was fun, and a PPO ride on Soarin' was a nice bonus!)
*Soarin'
*Meeting CMs from around the world (Had a really long and interesting conversation with a lovely young lady waiting our table at Akershus. She came back a couple of times while we were eating to just chat and seemed to really enjoy telling us about the traditions she celebrates at home.)
*Voices of Liberty
*Spaceship Earth
*Flower & Garden Festival

P.S. Just recently started listening to your Podcasts on YouTube and have enjoyed them!

Gosh, there are so many great things about Epcot! I would be gushing about the park all day if I had the chance! Since Many people have already talked about the food, the fountains, the atmosphere, the World Showcase,ETC. I'm gonna talk about the Attraction that doesn't get as much love;Livin' Off the Land! I know a lot of people say it's boring, but for me it was one of the neatest things I've seen! (Though i'm probably Biased, i have long been an Earth Sciences nut!

Thanks for posting the show rteetz! I watched it on youtube then came here to read what everyone had written. This is the perfect place to ask for people's opinions on Theme Parks. More of the hard core fans with tons of experience.

I think we need to find Craig another way to describe the "Grandma Rides". How about Entire Family or All Ages Rides? Toddlers are particularly easy to please as we've all watched kids play for hours with the box that the toy came in. Being an "All ages" ride was what made TSMM so wildly popular. That is why Walt built Disneyland after all for the whole family to enjoy. Headliners bring bumps in the attention but it is the small easy to enjoy rides that become beloved. I think that is why Mission Space never became a big hit. It wasn't meant for masses. Maybe it would have been great over in Tomorrowland next to Space Mountain but EPCOT isn't for the Thrill seekers.

Epcot is one of my favorite parks. I love Spaceship Earth - I know I'm probably in the minority but it's a must do for us when we do. It always reminds me of how communication started, how far it's come and makes me wonder what the future holds.

The park is beautiful so even if I didn't ride a ride or see a show I could do a nice relaxing stroll through this park. The others are nice but for some reason this one I find calming.
