Alien Swirling Saucers

Do you still need a FP for this ride or has the line gotten better since it first opened?

The current wait is posted at 60, with the actual wait around 35 if that helps. But, it's also mid-day during what's traditionally a very busy week.

I usually FP AS2 if I'm not looking to FP SDD because at least if I have to wait for TSMM it's air conditioned.

As long as were on the subject...what is the accepted Disboard abbreviation for this ride? I've tried referring to it in other threads and realized it can't be what would be obvious.

Edit** I just noticed in previous post Edna used AS2. Is that what were using?

definitely less than the tea cups, and like the tea cups, its a very short ride. or at least to me it feels like it is.

Haha... I remember reading an article when the name of the attraction was first announced, and how it didn't really lend itself well to abbreviations. I have seen AS2 used as well, so maybe that is an accepted abbreviation.

By the way, for those who care, I did some deeper research on these spinner rides with "platform change" abilities. There are two types, one a bit smaller with more of a central spin and the slightly larger whip rides where you spin off axis.

Smaller Variety:
The Whrilpool - Mermaid Lagoon, Tokyo Disney Sea - This is more like the Teacups in the seating and the seats rotate on an axis and around the larger spinning platforms.
Cars Race Rally - Toon Studio, Disney Studios Paris - This is similar to the above except you are seated in a car with everyone facing the same direction.
Francis' Ladybug Boogie - A Bug's Land, Disney California Adventure (permanently closed) - This is very similar to the above.

Larger Variety:
Mater's Junkyard Jamboree - Cars Land, Disney California Adventure - These are all practically clones of one another and operate like the "whip rides" described.
Alien Swirling Saucers - Toy Story Land, Disney's Hollywood Studios
Woody's Round-Up - Toy Story Land, Shanghai Disneyland PArk
Baymax Happy Ride - Tomorrowland, Tokyo Disneyland (coming soon)
