What restaurant (sit-down) have you frequented the most in your life?

Our go to is Dusty's Tap Room. It's only 1/4 mile away so we usually walk. Good thing because a Jack Daniels Manhattan is only six bucks! The two seats where the bar bends is our spot.

As a kid it was probably Bonanzas or Fords Cafeteria( not sure if Fords was a local or chain, I'll have to go look that up). Now, probably Casa Ole' or one of the MANY local Mexican places. Casa Ole' mainly because it's in the mall and cheap! Plus, I could live on their green sauce alone. I keep telling my family that that is all I want for my birthday, Christmas, anniversary etc etc :)

There's a bunch of local places where we eat pretty regularly. If I had to pick a chain I suppose it would be something like Bob Evans or Denny's.

Applebees but not lately as my family doesn’t think the food is that good anymore. I disagree. Nowadays we have to stick to pizza, Burger King or Taco Bell for budget reasons and we don’t even go there that much.

When we are on the road we look for a Cracker Barrel or Panera

I can’t name just one place. I have been to a number of places many times, and just never had one “go to” restaurant that I went to much more frequently than other places. I guess I like variety!

Right now it's Wooden Nickel, a local establishment by our house. We go about once a week (empty nest).

Tonight's menus...

The last house we lived in, from 2007-2017, it was likely Friendlys the first couple years (little kids) and then Applebees (older kids).

The years before that, it was probably IHOP (little kids) and Golden Corral (when grandparents were with us). Both were also due to lack of funds then.

At Disney, it's Ohana and Biergarten.

Kale, brussels sprouts and Quinoa? What did that poor scallop do to them to be treated that way?

Red Lobster
I don't know whether to totally feel sorry for you or compliment you on your intestinal fortitude.

I agree with you. The food at Applebees has not gone down hill in the least. It was always not all that good. he he

We've lived in different parts of the country, so with each place, we've had different go-to restaurants.

In the downriver Detroit area in the 70-80s... The Forge - tomato vegetable chowder - I wish I could find a recipe, I've tried over the years and never found one.
In the Phoenix/East Valley suburbs - Shangri-La - anything on their lunch menu on a Saturday.
Now that we are in Dallas and the kids are teens - Tacodeli (used to go there in Austin, we must have good karma because they opened here), Moviehouse Eatery (I love movies, and DH goes along and we go there a lot) or Cracker Barrel. Like someone mentioned above, when on a road trip, that's a safe harbor and the kids love to walk around the shop and get their bugs out before we get back on the road!

The local food scene ( :teeth: as the kids say) is excellent; we should be more adventurous than we are. We have regular go-tos for Italian (Chianti), sushi (Kinjo), Indian (Delhi Dar Bar) and Brazillian BBQ for something a little different (Bolero). As far as chains go, for breakfast it's IHOP or Denny's and for steak, The Keg. We almost never eat-in for pizza or Chinese but we do always order out from the same places Boston Pizza and Hot & Fast Kitchen.

On the Border. Food sucks but the company is great. It's my teenage daughter's favorite, so we go quite often for girl time and split the "Pick 4". Business always seems slow and we make bets on how long before we show up and it's closed. But until it does, we'll be regulars.

Probably Cracker Barrel :rotfl2:

My kids think it's a tradition-that-cannot-be-broken that we stop there every time we are on a road trip longer than 45 minutes, and since we travel back to MI frequently to visit family as well as take longer road trips for our vacations, we are there about every other month or so, minimum.

There are also a couple mom and pop hot dog/Pizza/Italian Beef stands in our area that we go to quite a lot. They usually offer a lot of choices, so everyone gets what they like.

Us too! We must eat at a Cracker Barrel on every road trip.

Chili's. There isn't much around and we don't eat out for dinner much. DD used to hate it there until she recently discovered their cheddar cheese bites. She wants to go once a week right now. I'm okay with it, I love their chips and salsa!

Mostly local independent restaurants.

For a sit down chain place, maybe Ruby Tuesday.

The place I've visited over the longest stretch of time is a South Jersey institution called Ponzios. It's been there for over 50 years
