Best week January 2020?

i am looking to book a week trip in January 2020 and would like to avoid as many crowds as possible. I know to avoid the run Disney events and MLK. Is the last week of January my best bet? What am I missing that might be going on?

Currently the NFL Pro Bowl is scheduled to be in Orlando Jan 26, 2020. However Miami is bidding to get the game, expect a final decision in May. If it stays in Orlando, the parks will be crowded.

Currently the Pro Bowl is scheduled for Orlando Jan 26, 2020. Orlando has had the Pro Bowl for three years in a row now, 2017,2018, and 2019, and the effect on WDW has been for larger park crowds the Thurs to Sun of that weekend and also to some more than usual problems for that time of year in getting DVC rooms at 7 months out. Your better crowd time would be getting time starting Jan 27 or after and going into early Feb.

We visited the second week in Jan. Weekdays crowds were very light. Weekends not so much. Lots of Floridians. The weather is also hit or miss.

I enjoy the Festival of the Arts, so I will wait until those dates are announced. The festival does not seem to be as crowded as others.

Thank you all. We originally planned for first week of February but we’d be traveling on super bowl Sunday and my husband doesn’t want to risk missing that just in case his team (cowboys) are in it. So I think we’re still going to move it up a week and arrive on Jan 26th.

We went during the marathon week this year. Parks were busy, but not packed. It was enjoyable. The only problems we had was bus delays in the morning because of road closures for the marathon.

Never had a major issue with marathon weekend but I go for the event. Stayed DVC two of my last 4 marathon weekend trips.
