We are 6 weeks out until our next trip (adult daughter and I). We have been watching through all of the Star Wars movies in prep for SWGE (have an onsite hotel reservation) but time is moving soooo slow! What are some Disney things that you like to do in prep for your trip to pass the time? There are a few Disney movies we haven't seen in a while that we will re-watch. Any other ideas?

My wife and I have 3 kids we are bringing (2,4, 13) So quite a bit of a different situation. We are watching lots of Disneyland youtube videos. Some just to have fun, and some like POTC and HM to get the young ones used to the noises and music so they wont be scared. Also, we are going over our packing lists, and our "want to eat foods" list. Have fun!

For our last Disneyland family trip in 2014, to pass the time I bought the Disneyland 4D puzzle:

There are about 50 buildings to place, so what we do is we get the puzzle together with about 50 days to go, and then we place 1 building per day on it until the morning we leave, when we place Sleeping Beauty castle and then head to the airport.

The entire family loves it and it has become a tradition for us everytime we go there now!

It sounds silly, but I love planning out my outfits to wear to the parks! I try to do it at least a week or two in advanced so that I'm not scrambling at the last minute only to inevitably forget something.

We also love watching ride videos or show videos on Youtube. Such a fun way to build the anticipation!

I pull up the google map and drop the guy inside the parks and walk around! I check the app and website daily for any changes, read disboards. Check my lists over and over to make sure I haven't missed anything.

Count the sleeps....over & over & over. Obsessively try to adjust ADR times, as I always end up wanting to shift a couple. Try to find a way to constantly refrain myself from gushing with excitement to my son who doesn’t know we are going yet.

Watch Fresh Baked Disney Videos https://www.freshbakeddisney.com/ Look at menus of places we want to eat. Fiddle with my touring plan. Make lists of what to pack and what to put in my backpack. Think about ordering groceries to be delivered to the hotel, and what we might want. Read trip reports on the trip report thread.

Planning and anticipating is half the fun! :yay:

Plan outfits, both regular and Disney Bounding. Make sure the gift list is updated with all birthdays, anniversaries, showers, births, etc. Also update the address list if we will be shipping gifts from the parks. Make a wish list for this particular trip: foods to try, photos to get, characters to meet, shows to see, etc. We never manage to check off everything, but it sure is fun to try!

DH and I will be there in two weeks! For the last couple weeks, we have bee watching the Cars movies, making packing lists, making shopping lists of things I need to buy or do before we go. I just put our luggage in the spare room so we can start organizing all the things we have bought so far, and throwing in there things we want to bring as we think of them.

We do themed dinner-and-a-movie nights. Eat Chinese and watch Mulan. Spaghetti for Lady and the Tramp, gumbo and beignets for Princess and the Frog, etc.
We also make coordinating shirts, the kids study the maps, watch wait times on the app, take extra walks.
