Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

We stayed in a water view Pirate room(3406) from 4/27-5/1. The room itself was great. Beds were comfy and there was more room to move around than expected. BUT- Skyliner station construction was directly across the lake and they worked all day and all night. The peaceful water view was a construction site view instead (including bright lights over night) and the beeping and banging of metal plates all night made the stay rather disappointing.

I tried searching this, but I am not sure about the info I am finding.

Could you all please tell me what building the skyliner is located near? Different sites show different things. Thanks!!!

What are the chances on getting a connecting room? I have 2 rooms booked for 5 adults Nov 6th-10th for the Food & Wine. This is a girls trip that we have been planning for over a year. Any tips or suggestions to get some PIXIE DUST for connecting rooms?

Impossible to say as it is 100% dependent on occupancy and how many others requested the same. Both of which only WDW knows. To give yourself the best odds call the Main Reservation line, give the phone CM both confirmation numbers, ask that the 2 reservations be linked in the system as "traveling with" and then make only 1 request on each reservation of "connecting room with xxxxxxxx". With xxxxxxxx being the other confirmation number.

Another crystal ball question. We decided to add a park day before our 11/4 cruise to see Star Wars land. I am looking for the most economical Disney hotel close to HS and CBR fits the bill, extra credit if the gondola is running by November. Trouble is that there is no availability 11/2 - 11/4 but there is 11/2 - 11/5. I booked the longer time frame and tried to modify but no luck. I will try calling but based on previous experience I am not expecting that they will take off the extra day. I know availability changes all the time and am prepared to check daily but just wondering if people have experience with weekend availability opening up as you get closer to your dates. I hope it works out, I would be excited to experience a new Disney hotel.

Thank you so much, when should I do this ?

Ahh man. That is very disappointing to hear. We will be staying in a Pirate Room in August. Were the lights bright enough and the noise loud enough that it actually disturbed your sleep?

Unfortunately, it did. The kids (11 & 13) slept through it. We were out late every night, so they would have slept through anything, but my husband and i had trouble falling asleep and were even startled awake by one or two especially loud bangs. It looks like they're moving along quickly, so I hope they'll be done (at least overnight) by your trip.

Seems like they are trying really hard to get it done before Galaxy's Edge opens up. Sucks that you didn't get the peaceful quiet nights that make CBR so great.

Update - the agent I spoke with was willing to work with guest services to take off the extra day. Gotta love the pixie dust!pixiedust: Now to work on getting the parents "downgraded" from a Pirate room to a regular room. I am so excited to try a new resort!

Does anyone know if the Preferred rooms have the freezer added onto the mini fridge? Also, is there a micro in the room by chance? If not, is that something you can pay extra for and request to have?
