July 3 & 4 park hours last year?

So the question is... how early do we get there with little ones so they can make it for the EMH (July 3 for us).

I’m going with arriving on time for a 10 am plaza breakfast, and go from there.
I can’t imagine going 10 am to past midnight... especially with littles! You may need an afternoon break if you want to stay into the wee hours!

We will be there July 3 with our 6 year old. We are driving in from Port Canaveral from our cruise. We are going to hang out at the hotel until 5 and then go. In spring we did a 10-1 am DAH and she made it all the way through—we got to the park at 2. I don’t think I could do 10 am-2am park day myself :)

Hey neighbor, we were thinking of doing the same but leaving Slidell early in the morning and heading straight to MK.
My hope is to hit the road at 2pm and not take off of work that day. My wife is a nurse whos work schedule is dependent on the surgery schedule for that day so we won't know for sure until shes heading home but we will keep our fingers crossed.

My kids won't just "rest" in the middle of the day. But, my youngest is will be 8 in Oct.

Our best bet is going to bed early, letting them sleep in (till 9, which would be very late for them), throwing clothes on (showering the night before), and catching the bus to MK for breakfast at 10 at Plaza. And, making sure we pace ourselves at MK.

Our plan after breakfast is Tomorrowland until 1 pm or so, then Pooh and maybe something else in Fantasyland before 2 pm BOG.

After lunch, walk around Tom Sawyer island. Then, FP for HM, IASM, Little Mermaid ride, Dumbo (if we can get them as 4th or more FP), or else HOP, Tiki, Country bears. The trick would be not criss crossing the park. Of course, appearances of hard to get FP might make criss crossing tempting.

Rest for a snack around 6 pm.

Dessert party 8 pm or so (we have the after party).

10 pm: ride astro orbiter.
After that: BTMR, Spash, Jungle cruise, or any FP we have or can get.

EMH: we'll see.

We are driving down after my husband gets off work on the 3rd. But we are going to stop in Valdosta and then finish the drive the next morning. Originally we planned to drive down around 6am on Thursday but I was afraid we would be too tired for the late night July 4th hours. We will rest for a bit at the resort on July 4 and probably head in at 5pm. We have our 3 FPs then the dessert party booked. Hoping to play in the park after that for as long as I can keep them out.

My kid won’t ever take a nap in the middle of the day either, resting for her is more just sitting still for a little bit or watching a TV show for 30 min. She is an early riser as well. Since your youngest is 8, I think you should be good. Doing a bunch of shows in the afternoon like HOP is a great way to rest and get out of the heat. Nothing beats a nap in the cool, dark HOP room, ha!

Our plans are so similar! We are stopping in Tallahassee for the night of the 3rd. Going to hit the character outlet on the way to AKL on the 4th. :D

Are you doing before or after dessert party?

I think we have had a lot of overlap this year! We may need to stop at the Character Warehouse too, now that you mention it! We like to as often as we can.

We are doing the before dessert party. I really wanted the after but I was late to the game and had to take what I could get. I stalked for a few days to get it. You?

We are doing the before party. I booked it at 180 days. We like the back rail of the garden and I really hope it isn't packed for this night.

I'll be the person eating macarons out of my popcorn bucket. :D
