Breakfast Buffet food differences Chef Mickey's vs Cape May?

We have done Chef Mickeys before, but will be staying closer to Cape May. Has anyone done both, and noticed any differences in food offerings? I checked out the menus, but it's hard to tell with the buffets...

I did Cape May Cafe in 2014 and just did Chef Mickey's this year. I have to say I thought Chef Mickey's was better? Chef Mickey's had carving stations and different types of eggs if that's what you are into.

People have mentioned that cape May now has an omelette station, but as our trip is still upcoming, maybe someone else can confirm this...

We’ve done both and prefer Cape May. I really enjoy tater tots and mickey waffles, I mean my kids do (wink, wink) so the food is pretty similar between the 2, but the atmosphere at Cape May is more relaxed and we felt the character interaction was much better as well.

The offerings are similar but we thought Cape May was better. We also thought the character interaction and service was way better at Cape May. It felt super rushed at Chef Mickeys.

I'm not a fan of buffets. I usually get a plate of scrambled eggs and a slice of bacon. So, I can't comment on the food. But, the atmosphere in Cape May Cafe just seemed nicer.

I think Cape May is better than Chef Mickey's but I think both Garden Grill and Akershus are better than Cape May, and getting a PPO ADR at either gives you first access to either Soarin (GG) or FEA (Akershus). Chip and Dale and Goofy are at GG, various princesses at Akershus.

I'm always up for wherever I can get an omelette, so Cape May and Crystal Palace are my 2 favs. I like Chef Mickey's for dinner better.

IMO, it comes down to this; Cape May offers average to below average food and Chef Mickey offers below average to terrible food. I'm not really a big fan of buffets so my opinion I'll admit is not favorable. But with that said, I do like Boma and Tusker House, and love the Breakfast Lasagna (a real addiction for me) at Crystal Palace. But then these were not on your list.

I have always liked CMC. I did CM recently because one of our party really wanted to and I didn't like it. I thought that the amount of kids eating from the buffet was more than average (picking stuff up with hands, generally being unsupervised). Buffet was messier.
