Thoughts on how to kill time after cruise, before flight?

Anyone know what a day pass at the Hyatt costs?

I found this on the Hyatt MCO website:
Day Use Rooms
Reserve a microstay just outside MCO Airport at a special day-use rate to enjoy hotel benefits without staying overnight. Starting at just $109, day-use rooms are the perfect solution for fly-in, fly-out conferences and daytime layovers. Access the pool, fitness center, restaurant, bar, and room service by contacting Hyatt Regency directly.

Hours

10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., daily, based on availability

Thanks. I guess you have to call to book a microstay. It doesn't look like the website is set up for it.

You really don't have that much time to kill. I'd take my time in the morning and try to be the LOTS (last off the ship) and take DCL transfers back to the airport. You'll probably be at MCO close to 11am. Considering you'll want to get in the security line around 1pm, that would only give you about 2 hours to "kill". Not a lot of time. Even if you debarked the ship earlier, if you wanted to rent a van, factoring in the time to get the rental in Canaveral and return it at MCO...how much time will you really have in between? We've done the day room at the Hyatt, and it's a great option, but only with a much later flight. I don't know if it is worth it for only a couple of hours. I would say you need at least a full four hours at the minimum to make it worth it.

Not the cheapest but have you thought about utilizing one of the airport lounges? If your only going to be at the airport for a few hours (off the boat at 9ish, hour travel time to airport, time to pick up car rental or time it takes for a DCL bus to leave) then a day room seems a waste for a few hours. The airport lounges at MCO offer access to food and drink (included in the price), charging ports, comfortable seating, even a shower if that is needed. They are quite handy to fill in a few hours and if your flight leaves at 2:30 that's all you will have. You will clear security before you can enter the lounge so you don't need to worry about how long you need for that, its done.
Plus you should be able to check your luggage pretty much when you get to the airport since you will get there about 10:30ish and if not right away then very soon after. I think most airlines allow you to check your luggage 3 hours before your flight?? We use the lounges a lot because they are so handy and a quiet place to relax away from the airport hustle and bustle.

Just a thought...….

SouthWest just updated their schedule release date back to May 30 so I am really considering waiting to see if they will have the same schedule as the Friday before which would be a perfect flight at 12:05.

If not, laying out the timeline for the 2:46 flight made me realize there isn't that much downtime. Maybe a quick stop at Disney Springs (we aren't nervous people about leaving stuff in cars) or just a long sit down lunch at the airport.
