Monorail food tour

We think it would be fun to do a monorail food tour for quick service resturaunts. We do not have nor are we getting a food plan. I thought maybe we could get a "main dish" at one location, a side at another location, and a desert at a final location for an evening of fun. In our family food palets vary greatly. Our son is an All American picky eater, none of us are into seafood. I thought of doing a stop at The Contemporary (sons wish), the polynesian (daughters wish), and one more location. What would be a good order to do this in? Is this doable? In addition I thought maybe we can use this time to also pin trade. I would love to hear what other's think about this idea? Will the refillable mugs work at these locations as well? Thanks much! :tigger::goofy::simba::stitch::donald:

I would look at the food menus for Capt Cooks, Contempo Cafe and Gasparilla Grill and see what appeals to you. I would probably suggest your dessert stop be Contempo Cafe tho - they have several that are really good - like peanut butter pie and cupcakes.

You will be able to refill your mugs there

At the Contemporary you could sit at the bar at California Grill and order the goat cheese ravioli. It's delicious!

At the Poly, I'd visit Trader Sam's for small plates and drinks.

At Grand Floridian visit Mizer's Lounge for a cheese plate/dessert. Gasparilla's is a good option too.

Don’t forget about the lounges at the resorts, especially if you’re not doing this on a dining plan. Tambu Lounge at the Poly would be great for this.

I agree with these suggestions. OP - DS11 and I did a monorail dining tour a few years ago and we had so much fun! We started at Trader Sam's at the Poly as soon as it opened so we could get a seat! The "mocktails" there are delicious and were only $5. The apps there are huge, so you could definitely even just get one or two to share amongst your family (DS and I shared one and were pretty stuffed). You could then do your entree at Gasparilla's at GF which has options for picky eaters and desserts at either Contempo Cafe or head up to Cali Grill and order dessert in the lounge - the view from the restaurant is stunning. If you want to take your adventure further, you could hop on a boat at CR to visit WL and then Ft. W and then either take the boat back to CR or MK, whichever is most convenient.
