Hungry bear fantasmic package

Slightly off topic, but all the seating is on the ground in the package areas, correct? I am unable to sit on the ground, so would not make sense for me to book one if that is the case. Thanks!
You are correct. There’s a premium RBT package that you have to reserve by phone that has seating in the normal restaurant area - it’s not a great view, but it is a seat.

Maybe they’d let you stand in the back? Not sure if that’d be a possibility. But yes, I believe they make you sit.

When I did this Memorial Day last year, the CM who let us in to the (uncrowded) HB section told me, "Yes, you sit for the show. Now, if I notice you standing at the back against one of the pillars, so that you're not blocking the view of the people standing above you, will I yell at you? Probably not. Technically, you're supposed to be sitting. But if you're not blocking anybody's view, it's unlikely we'll "notice" you."

Yes, with the HB package you can order off the regular menu as well as from the dining package menu, but you will pay the dining package price regardless. MMM viewing from the ROA is fine, but not quite as immersive as it is from Main Street or from IASW. But it's also not as crowded, and you won't have to wait for your spots since you'll already be there. How long you wait to line up for your viewing area depends on how much you care about where you sit. If you really aren't that picky -- you just want to be in the reserved area and can see from the back just fine -- and the parks aren't that crowded that day -- then, technically, you could show up 15 minutes before the show and find spots. If you are picky about viewing spots, then I would invest more time in getting there early -- 60-90 minutes before the show should get you prime spots. Maybe you could get your spots, then take turns taking the boys to the restroom and walking around and getting a snack to bring back before getting the next kid for his turn. By the time you finish, the show should be about to start.

I see that the Hungry Bear Fantasmic price is for a special entree and a Blue Sky soda. We are interested in Fantasmic and this seems like the best choice for our group, but some of us are on the fence about the entrees. If we choose to order off the regular menu instead (at Fantasmic package pricing), is it still possible to sub onion rings for the included french fries with the burgers and sandwiches? Does the meal still come with a drink? Is there an AP discount for Hungry Bear Fantasmic regardless of which food is chosen?

Yes, you can still sub for onion rings and you still get the can of soda. I don't know about the discount.

I think there is an AP discount for the regular F! package. I don't see why it wouldn't apply if you ordered from the regular menu but still paid the package price. Let us know what happens if you decide to try this package.
