Hello! My DH and I are headed to the World later this month and added a night at the Poly to the front of our stay. Originally we were going to be staying offsite that first night. Because we added the night recently, we did not have plans for dinner. Where would you suggest? I have considered: Grand Floridian Café, the Wave, Skipper Canteen, or maybe just stick around Poly and do apps at the Tambu Lounge or the Tikki Terrace. Is there someplace else we should be considering? We will be getting in late in the afternoon and would like to watch HEA from the Poly beach. We haven't stayed at the Poly before (unless you count when DH did as a child) and our only experience with the resort is 'Ohana. We have the following ADRs for the other days of our stay: Kona breakfast, Cali Grill dinner, Sanaa lunch. We were also planning on hitting up Nomad and/or Satuli. Thanks for any suggestions!

I had a great meal at the Wave last week. I got the tenderloin with the potato gratin - I loved those! GFC is another good choice

Hi there, my husband and I enjoy Grand Floridian Cafe. Service is always spot on and always leave very satisfied. Also, u get music piped into area of HEA fireworks and a great view from boat dock similar to Poly Beach.

Kona, Wave and GFC are all great options. The Contemporary does have fireworks viewing from their 4th-floor deck area, although it is sometimes closed.

I know you said you had CG reserved already, but you might also consider drinks and appetizers in their lounge.

if flying I would look at what is open after you arrive and book then. that way a delay happens with flight you aren't worried about getting there on time. not the way I want to start a vacation

We won’t be flying. We’ll be driving in but that’s a good point to consider as even I-75 gets backed up frequently in our experience.

If you are only staying at Poly for one night, I would stick around the resort and really enjoy what it has to offer. I, personally, would go inside Trader Sam's for, at least, a drink to see the effects and antics. Then maybe go outside and enjoy your apps (and more drinks!) on the terrace. You are then perfectly positioned to enjoy the fireworks from either the terrace or the Poly beach.

I was going to say the exact same thing!
