We are two adults travelling for a long weekend
First on site experience
For the same price, would you go with AOA little mermaid or Pop standard room
We are planning on staying one day by the pool and two park days
Any advice would be appreciated!

The two hotels are very comparable and located adjacent to each other. The amenities are basically the same too. If the price is the same, just pick the room you prefer. I think the pool is a little nicer at AoA, but Pop is a fun property that I stay at a lot.

I'd go with Pop. Since most of the rooms at AoA are family suites, you will likely have a higher concentration of kids. Plus, the LM rooms are rather far from the food court and front desk.

We love both resorts but stay at AoA since it opened because we need a suite. Pop was our "home" for 3 trips and will probably be where we go when we don't have kids traveling with us anymore. The standard rooms at AoA are some of the longest walks to the food court/buses but it's not terrible (1/3 of a mile at the furthest point)...especially since you're only going to be there a few days. My son and his wife have stayed in the Little Mermaid rooms twice already (most recently with a 1 year old in tow) and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. The advantage that Pop has over the Little Mermaid rooms is that all of the rooms at Pop have been refurbished in the last 2 years and now have queen-size beds. The LM rooms have doubles. The theming at AoA is amazing. The resort is just gorgeous at night.

I was already leaning towards Pop
I guess we will cross the bridge to see AOA theming at night to get the best of both!
Its a great little 1/4 mile walk or so from the back of POP to AofA. Very nice lake and it has a moderate feel i have always thought. Plus the gondola. Looking forward to that.

Good decision.

I just wanted to add, some people find the blue walls in the LM rooms to be relaxing and soothing. I find them to be dank and depressing. :rotfl:

Thats a great plan. I like the AoA food court as well. So its nice to walk around and try out the food court too.

PoP for sure. The AoA suites are horribly expensive for a "value" and themed heavily for young kids.

I chose pop because of queen bed (instead of double), preferred rooms close to the bus/food, and coffee maker in the room.
