Dessert before Dinner: a trifecta of dining reports? Update 9/22 LTT COMPLETE!

I would like to add here that I am falling more in love with AK each trip @pepperandchips , here's another reason for you to love me! I happened to have had an extremely awesome day there last week but I digress. My growing love for this park definitely has to do with the food options but it also has to do with these guys whom we stop to watch as often as we can:
We were just talking about this today as we were watching resort tv1. AK is quickly replacing Epcot as my second favourite park. There are so many layers to AK, it feels like you are discovering something new every time you visit!

Yak Attack
Mango Daiquiri, Don Q Cristal Rum and Wildberry Flavors
My favourite!

They don't just give you 3 I just forgot to take the picture until we'd eaten 2! These were perfectly seared and the sauce was fantastic. Neither of us was starving yet from Tutto Gusto but we had approached "getting hungry" so sharing was actually fine.
Mmmmmm, need to try these in July!

Chicken Tikka Masala
Boneless chicken breast marinated in yogurt and freshly ground herbs cooked in a traditional Masala sauce, jasmine rice, garlic naan bread
This is Bill's favourite!

Mickey Dark Chocolate with Chili Pepper
I love this!!

THANKS FOR FOLLOWING ALONG ON MY 2ND TRIP OF OUR TRIFECTA! NOW THAT JANUARY AND FEBRUARY 2019 ARE DONE I DO BELIEVE I'M FEELING GOING BACK TO NOVEMBER 2018, TO OUR THANKSGIVING FAMILY TRIP, TO FINISH THIS TRIFECTA OUT IF YOU ALL ARE WILLING TO STAY WITH ME :D IN THE MEANTIME HAPPY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOM'S AND GRANDMOM'S OUT THERE :flower:
Happy Mother's Day to you too! Looking forward to reading about your November adventures!

Well not as awesome as it could have been had @pepperandchips and I been there too!!!!

Yup, and the pictures Steve took get worse from here lol!
Not sure which I love more your pose or your face :P

Yak and Yeti dumplings how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the soy sauce and back. To the crispness and yak attacks. To the onions and the pork. From my mouth to your fork :D

img_1217-jpg.399933

This is pretty simple I know but lots of you also know how Steve loves his shrimp! He enjoyed it, finished it, said it was tasty and hit the spot. I on the other hand went with something you can't always get anywhere:
Steve? Your Steve? He likes shrimp? Are you sure? Never would have picked up on that.

IN THE MEANTIME HAPPY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL THE MOM'S AND GRANDMOM'S OUT THERE :flower:
Happy Mother and Grandmothers day to you!!! Have a great day with the family

Y&Y has never disappointed us. Our favorite appetizer is the wok-fried green beans. I'm not sure if this is up Steve's alley but the ahi tuna nachos are fantastic! I didn't share.

Great report! I’ve been watching Disney Food Blog videos and AJ recently reported that she picked Yak n Yeti for her birthday dinner, too, and she’s eaten everywhere in the World! I think it’s an excellent choice!

That meal is one of my favorites! Yum, The dark chocolate with chili spice intrigues me, not sure if I would like it or not. AK is one of my favorite parks, such detail, it takes theme park to a whole different level!

It was so nice to meet you and Steve, such a nice couple! I’m always impressed when a husband can just join right in with a bunch of “hyper” women haha!! I wish Joe liked Disney enough to come with us more often, maybe I can entice him with the food, works for most things with him, lol!

The first thing I thought was, only 3! Ha. I love dumplings, I could go to a resturant with all different kinds!

Yum!

A Yak Attack and an order of pork pot stickers are my favorite things to get at Yak & Yeti. Last time we ate there was a last minute thing and we were able to sit at the bar. We each ordered our own pot stickers since they are too good to share. ;)

I think Yak & Yeti is the perfect birthday choice, I submit my wholehearted approval. I may try the tikka masala next time.

Sorry your Yachtsman dinner wasn't up to par. We've never eaten there, and I feel like we should try it out at least once, but it's never on my radar.
I think you should try it if you're interested at all; so many like it and we loved our first meal there. I do think it was an off night for the meat and well, it doesn't seem like service is what they're known for anyway :sad2:

I've been wanting to go back to Le Cellier so badly, as it has a lot of great memories for us, back before it turned signature, and when it was worth the price
I kind of want to go here again! We've been once and it was after it became a signature. We loved the food but like San Angel Steve didn't like how close you are to everyone lol however it may be a good option for our NYE trip since Chris will be with us and loves his meat!

had that Blood Mary on our trip last month, the F&G version with the shrimp. It was outstanding, one of the best Bloody Mary's ever!
I had it on the EPIC trip and it's the same as the one during the Arts festival but with shrimp instead of pork belly! I will get it forever and ever now regardless of the toppings :goodvibes

I think you've convinced me to try Tutto Gusto. Again, every trip I say we're going to check it out, and then we don't. It sounds amazing though!
I will also tell everyone who'll listen to give Tutto Gusto a try. I SO wanted to take my DIS friends there last week but with the F&G festival going on and time so precious we didn't get there. Hoping to go in July with the boys!

Happy Mother's Day to you too! Looking forward to reading about your November adventures!
:thanks: I hope you had a wonderful day! I know you know I started my EPIC trip sharing :goodvibes Glad you're following along for that too!

ell not as awesome as it could have been had @pepperandchips and I been there too!!!!
Well that just goes without saying

Not sure which I love more your pose or your face :P
You mean my poop pose? Show Casey and see if I can be gifted the name "pooper 2".

Steve? Your Steve? He likes shrimp? Are you sure? Never would have picked up on that.
It was like being with someone whom I'd never seen eat a sugar cane shrimp skewer before.......

Our favorite appetizer is the wok-fried green beans. I'm not sure if this is up Steve's alley but the ahi tuna nachos are fantastic! I didn't share.
I'm not a veggie person but I will try anything fried lol and I think we may end up there again in July so I'll remember that! Steve would like the green beans and yes he'd love the ahi tuna nachos. I have a feeling Chris would too!

Great report!
:thanks: I'm glad you're enjoying it!

I’ve been watching Disney Food Blog videos and AJ recently reported that she picked Yak n Yeti for her birthday dinner, too, and she’s eaten everywhere in the World! I think it’s an excellent choice!
Thanks again! Yeah it's certainly not a bad choice :) Sometimes I see threads here where someone asks where they should eat for their birthday or anniversary and people suggest character meals and such. My thought is always "why wouldn't you do a signature for a special day?" because we enjoy them so much but there are restaurants here and there that aren't sigs and still deliver flavorful food. So I guess I answered my own question lol!

The dark chocolate with chili spice intrigues me, not sure if I would like it or not.
I know, you kind of have to try it to see! And you can't eat it all in one sitting no matter how much you loce chocolate because the chili does start to sting your lips lol but I'll be getting it again in July. Of course I'll have to get it on the way out or it'll melt as I carry it around!

K is one of my favorite parks, such detail, it takes theme park to a whole different level!
I never DIDN'T like it but am coming to appreciate it so much more :goodvibes For awhile I was ok skipping it on our 3 or 4 night trips since Steve isn't a huge fan but now I really hate to miss it and with the entertainment and great food options even he looks forward to going there now more!

It was so nice to meet you and Steve, such a nice couple! I’m always impressed when a husband can just join right in with a bunch of “hyper” women haha!!
Oh thank you  Yes he can really fit it in when he wants! I'm both surprised and lucky that he shares my Disney love (well not quite as crazy) and even suggests some of our trips!

What? I had nooooo idea!!! LOL!
 right? You've NEVER seen him eat shrimp :rolleyes1

I love dumplings, I could go to a resturant with all different kinds!
Have you had them at Y&Y? If not add that to your ever growing adults only list lol!

Last time we ate there was a last minute thing and we were able to sit at the bar. We each ordered our own pot stickers since they are too good to share.
We hardly ever share because we like to eat too much  This was a rare occasion where Steve was actually too full from Tutto Gusto for an app! It really isn't enough for a normal person to share ;)

I think Yak & Yeti is the perfect birthday choice, I submit my wholehearted approval. I may try the tikka masala next time.
Ha ha thanks! I do not regret it at all :thumbsup2 Definitely try the tikka masala and if you don't get to Y&Y, see if they still have it outside at Harambe Market because that is outstanding too!

Jackie same here! I was totally looking forward to meeting you, I only wish we hung a bit more! It's hard with that many people though. I also completely regret not saying happy birthday to you because I thought about it that morning and then forgot :headache::headache:
I know!! I feel like I didn't get enough "hang time" with everyone. We squeezed in a lot of EPICness, but still needed more :) That's why there is always a next time! I'll take a belated birthday wish anyway :) Looking forward to reading your Thanksgiving trip details, so keep writing!!

I've been a bad friend and got very behind, but I am catching up (and trying to keep the quotes to a minimum). I just posted our Crew's Cup review and you're probably going to unfriend me anyway so I guess I can 'fess up to being forever behind on your report posts.
Hello, lovely. I'm sure you all recognize this from earlier in the report, but for a refresher this was the "special" festival Bloody Mary at Refreshment Port over in World Showcase:
Yuuuummmmm. Bring it back! Bring it back! Bring it back! I liked the pork belly better but the recent slim jim addition is funnier for discussion...

Sort of full from the BM (I had to write that, sorry kids)
That was a crappy joke!

Sorry no wine guys. I was going to but then saw that Cosmo on the menu and it was deelish! So deelish I had 3 :thumbsup2
That's why we get along so well!

BTW if you happen to hear about any big commotions or kerfuffle's at Geyser Point the beginning of May - it's probably us :tiptoe:
Confirmed: definitely us.

Meatballs Parmigianapane di casa, tomato, mozzarella cheese
Oh my nom, that looks heavenly! And you know I love a meatball!!

most of you are either going to be there with me or are already friends with me on facebook but if you fall into neither category and would like to follow along feel free to send me a friend request: Ariane Costa DeVizio

Oh my, you ARE brave! Here I am trying to keep people from finding us on the internet and you're over here waving your full name around!!!

I would like to add here that I am falling more in love with AK each trip @pepperandchips , here's another reason for you to love me!

As if I needed any further reason to love you :flower3::love:

img_1207-jpg.399930

Yup, and the pictures Steve took get worse from here lol!
Well there is the reason to love you more if ever I saw one! :rotfl: Why are you so stinking cute?!

Chicken Tikka Masala
Boneless chicken breast marinated in yogurt and freshly ground herbs cooked in a traditional Masala sauce, jasmine rice, garlic naan bread

Both of your meals at Yak and Yeti look amazing but this is one of my favorites!!!

HAPPY BELATED MOTHER'S DAY! I hope you had an amazing weekend!!!!

(and all caught up :thumbsup2)

What a great birthday trip though and having now been to Disney 2 months in a row twice, I gotta say I wouldn't mind making that a regular thang :scratchin
It sure looked it to me! Yes... I think monthly trips are the only sure way to combat the Disney blues... you definitely must make this a regular habit ;)

Also, Happy belated Mother's Day! :flower3:

We squeezed in a lot of EPICness, but still needed more :) That's why there is always a next time!
true!! It was hard enough getting in everything we wanted while spending quality time with friends old and new; our next EPIC trip can't come soon enough!

Looking forward to reading your Thanksgiving trip details, so keep writing!!
I will! Another update coming soon :thumbsup2

Sounds like a great birthday dinner! The Landry's card is soooo worth it!
I don't know why we waited so long to get it and plan on using it at least once in July!

I've been a bad friend and got very behind,
I can forgive you for this more than I can forgive you for dissing the garlic rolls :snooty:

I just posted our Crew's Cup review and you're probably going to unfriend me anyway so I guess I can 'fess up to being forever behind on your report posts.
And there.it.is. I don't think I've ever said a negative thing about anything with garlic! Maybe if you talk R into a little July 4th Disney vaca I'll forgive you this too :hyper:

Bring it back! Bring it back! Bring it back! I liked the pork belly better but the recent slim jim addition is funnier for discussion...
And funnier pictures but I shall leave that up to you to share :drinking1

That's why we get along so well!
Like two pieces of shrimp in a Bloody Mary! Or on a skewer. Or in a pond on the safari trying not to get eaten by Flamingos.
I'm done.

And you know I love a meatball!!
Leaving jokes aside, I'm surprised you guys haven't been here yet! It's like right up your alley and the perfect place to visit on a hot July afternoon.

Oh my, you ARE brave! Here I am trying to keep people from finding us on the internet and you're over here waving your full name around!!!
 are you kidding? Between my work and the boys posting their teen crap on all those teen things they use, I don't know how I'd keep my full name off!

Well there is the reason to love you more if ever I saw one! :rotfl: Why are you so stinking cute?!
Old people are often cute!

HAPPY BELATED MOTHER'S DAY! I hope you had an amazing weekend!!!!
:thanks: I did! I have to post a picture of the awesome present I got along with a FitBit so I can pretend I keep track of how far I walk each day :tiptoe:

Also, Happy belated Mother's Day! :flower3:
Thank you!!!!:goodvibes

I missed this somehow! And now I just spent the last 10 minutes trying to add it to my watch list so I will come back and read. I don't know why it's so hard today!!

:welcome: And please, I don't even know if I've started the last report you did :rolleyes1 It gets crazy trying to keep up with everyone's, I'm just glad you're here now!
