Where to get the best price (and location) on tickets last minute?

Where is the best place to buy tickets to DL? I'm sure they can be bought at the gate but can they be bought the night before (for the next day)? And/or does Downtown Disney have a place to purchase them too. Very familiar with my options at WDW but this is our first time to DL.

I've read they can be purchased at grocery stores too? Which locations?

On Disney’s website. They have a special right now for multi day tickets.
Thanks!! We won't arrive (if everything goes as planned) until the 30th - if I read it right, the special will be over. We won't be able to print tickets (there will be five of us) if we get etickets. I'm sure (possibly) we could show the email confirmation to the cast member the morning we enter the park but I'd like to have everything in hand before that time. We're coming from the east coast for only two days so every minute counts. LOL

You take e-tickets to the entry gate. No extra waiting. You don’t need to print them. They’ll scan your phone. All “tickets” are exchanged for cardstock tickets at the gate.

Alternative is last minute travel club. I’ve bought my tickets from them. They also have the scannable barcode that’s exchanged for cardstock ticket at the gate.

I echo using Last Minute Travel Club for the least expensive tickets. Our experience is nothing, but they've been great to work with. The last time we purchased a ticket the night before we flew out and I was a bit anxious (but I had included a request for expediting and our dates) and they were in my email a few hours later. I don't recommend cutting things that close, but if you are close to your date and ask them to expedite they will.

You don’t have to wait till the night before or purchase in a grocery store. Also the lines to purchase at the ticket kiosks at Disneyland are awful- and you won’t get a Magic Morning with a three-day-or-more park hopper. Of course if you’re staying onsite you won’t need that anyway. I suggest you check all the above listed authorized ticket dealers to check who has the best prices for your dates and number of days. I picked up our 5- day park hoppers for September from Last Minute Travel, and they had all the others beat by $30 a ticket. Supposedly you have to have a $50 annual membership, but there are codes around for free membership.
