***Official July 2019 thread***

Getting Excited. Now not sure if my oldest can make it. Hoping he gets the time off. If not November trip will be happening.

After multiple resort and ADR changes, and booking Fast Passes on mother's day for our trip, I think we're settled! We're at CSR, water view room July 11-17:

Thu: Land at MCO 2:30, check into CSR. EPCOT FPs for Mission Space, FEA, Spaceship Earth. QS in Mexico.
Fri: RD HS w RnR & ToT as many times as we can, FPs for RnR, Star Tours, and TSMM. Lunch in the middle at Brown Derby with my travel agent and awesome friend of almost 20 years.
Sat: RD MK w Splash, Big Thunder, FPs for Pan, Jungle Cruise, Pirates. Disney Springs and Raglan Road PM.
Sun: RD EP w Soarin', Living with the Land, Spaceship Earth again. Break. Dinner at Tokyo Dining followed by Illuminations.
Mon: RD MK w Space and Fantasyland. FPs for Pooh, Dwarves, Belle. Break. Skipper Canteen dinner followed by HEA.
Tue: Sleep in, pool or Disney Springs day. HS PM with FPs for Slinky, RnR, ToT. We will do early afternoon dinner at 50s with SW dessert party, or 50s dinner followed by SW fireworks.
Wed: Sad trip home, too soon!

So we are doing the 4-7. Driving down to Valdosta from northeast Atlanta Wednesday evening 7/3. Heading to Disney the morning of the 4th. We'll relax at the resort (CSR) and then go into MK about 5. We have FPs and the dessert party booked. Hoping to play a bit in the park after that, as late as we can make it. Fri 7/5 is AK and MK. Sat 7/6 is HS and Epcot. Sun 7/7 is departure day but I did make FPs at MK, just in case.
We are at HS on the 6th too before moving to WL from AKL. Maybe we will have a chance to say hello!

Just paid my balance with the DVC Rental Store. It's getting real!
Same! Such a good feeling! :goodvibes

We've had a Disney trip planned for a while, finally added the last couple days, got my tickets from southwest from card points and just need 1 last hotel reservation for the flight out. that hotel res, and fast passes on the 21st and we'll be done with "formal" planning.

My first experience with FP+ booking was this morning at 4:00am! (Which, by the way, is TOO EARLY!)

We got everything we wanted - yay!! We are a party of 2, which I know helps with availability. We got FOP at 9:45 on 60+5 - I was glad to see moving AK to later in the trip in order to get an AM FP paid off! We didn’t need SDD because we are doing EMM, but I could have gotten one at 3:30 or later on our HS day, which is 60+3. We also got TOT and SDMT (more than once) with ease. I was happy to get SDMT on our first full day - there was a lot more availability than I had expected. Our last trip was in May 2013, so a lot of this stuff is brand new to us! (Including FP+!)

For me, the hardest to deal with is MK. There is just so much there, and I don’t really have a concept of whether FP+ has made standby lines impossible to deal with for even more minor attractions. I’m used to DLR, which has FAR less FP attractions. I’m hoping that with a combination of the fast passes we already got, rope drop once, evening EMH, and villains DAH, we’ll be able to do it all. Also planning to use FP refresh to get more while there.

Anyway, just wanted to share here! I don’t have any Disney World friends in real life (we’re in CA so most people just do DLR if anything at all), and people just do not get this. “You have to get up at 4am to do WHAT??” I mostly just get looks of confusion. :rolleyes2It’s much easier to discuss here.

We’re staying in the Epcot resort area too (YC) and have lots of trips into Epcot like you do. :) We also planned breakfast at Cape May for our departure day. Our schedule looks even more packed than yours because there aren’t any full resort days (though we did plan blocks of time to enjoy the resort, SAB, and the BW area). We’re there 3 less nights than you are and just didn’t want to take the time! However, we are two adults with no kids, and we can keep up a pretty good pace as long as we utilize afternoon breaks pretty regularly like you mentioned. Your schedule looks great to me!

You should be fine using refresh in MK. I was there in Dec w/my parents, we didn't wait in any standby lines, and I think we had somewhere around 10-11 FPs total on our MK day. There are so very many rides at that park that availability is constantly opening up and moving around for the rides

Did anyone upgrade their MagicBands today? I upgraded my July trip and Nov trip bands to the Disney snacks band and the Dory band :lovestruc

Yes, finally it worked.
I grabbed Donald for myself, and the Pluto one for DS7. DD17 wanted to reuse hers from March, and DS15 didn't care, so he got a color. :)
DD24 is picking for her family tonight.
Kind of fun to have this option for 10.00.

Yes!! I got the pink Disney snack band, DH got the slinky dog, kids got sorcerer Mickey & Darth Vader and my mom picked the birthday band.

We also decided to book the HEA dessert party as a grand finale splurge for our last night on July 25. We had done the party the last time we were there in 2013 and loved it. We opted for the garden view this time as it seemed like the show would look a lot better from that vantage point. I am getting so incredibly antsy and excited for our trip!

We booked that for our last night as a grand finale as well - the night after your party! (July 26) We did the after fireworks party.

Need to have DS13 pick one out and then we'll order! DH is getting the SE one, DS17 already has the sorcerer Mickey band and doesn't want another. Can't decide yet what I want but I'll be getting one for our July trip and one for my AP band :goodvibes
