A Tipsy Tenth Dining Adventure - Completed 9/28

Omg dying!

I love me some tipsy notes!!

Annoying when the next bus takes so long, I can’t deal!

Food looked great, I tried to convince DH to try Sanaa and the menus just doesn’t do it for him.... I’ll need to go alone to check it out.

Wait someone was running a half marathon the next day?!?!?!? Omg go them!

Bobby Darin... this has me cracking up, maybe his box set was being sold by someone else??

We had a wonderful server named Brenda, who did not rush us at all, and paced our meal perfectly. One of my biggest pet peeves is a rushed meal, unless of course I’m in a hurry, in which case they clearly should know better.
Servers that anticipate what you want are a godsend!

Girls share AC back nice and acidic and crisp too bottlrs
You know, two bottles between three friends is really not that bad......

Bread service good as always got 3 extra red naaan like paneer have g had in long tome sauces fav tomato and ate and corrianser also like TJ Eric rants and samball
Is red naan really a thing? Or is it a tipsy thing?

Even in my tipsy state I did at least note that we saved $38 with our tables in wonderland card and hopefully we left some extra tip for Brenda because clearly after all of this she deserved it.
I am sure she got a huge kick out of all of you.!

We uber’d back to the room and Casey slept. Getting better. And while they got ready for the half marathon the next morning I drink drink I do. I think there is a hit song in there somewhere.
Were D and D2 running too? Or just Jason?

Casey macaroon from D like good the Iran’s taste like orange and. Hi late like
Haha! These were truly wonderful tipsy notes!

Heavens to Betsy, I do LOVE when you do a little drinkie-drinkie at dinner and write out your notes on who ordered what and if it was good or not....I might need to start doing that too - and maybe even on just a regular Saturday night out!!

:drinking1

Your tipsy notes are the best
Omg dying!

Food looked great, I tried to convince DH to try Sanaa and the menus just doesn’t do it for him.... I’ll need to go alone to check it out.

Convince him to give it a try. The bread service is so good. We went one night and sat in the bar. It was a great meal.

Semi-local friend here! What was the brewery? It's hot enough now (and thank god the rain has stopped for a hot second) that all I want to do is drink beer outside.

I love your tipsy notes -- I took a few on my trip and trying to decipher them has been...interesting.

I ended up trying Sanaa after reading so many rave reviews of it on the Dis, and while I lovedddd it, I'm not sure my solo pre-race dinner was as much fun as the one that y'all had. I can't believe they were up the next morning to race, tbh.

I
I really want to know what Tj’s rant was about. It’s bread service and yum! That sambel sauce <3

Some of those people might have a rough start to the half the next morning!
I know right? If only TJ was here for me to see what all the trouble was about because bread service is amazing.

Thankfully for everyone (but me) I think I did most of the drinking damage so they were all pretty good the next morning, except for poor D2 who had a bad head cold.

:rotfl::rotfl2:

Your notes are hysterical. Sounds like a great night. I can’t believe I still haven’t tried Sanaa. I think Chef TJ is a big deal at Disney - know for his creative vegetarian/vegan accommodations. Maybe that’s your TJ? But I’m not sure he’s at Sanaa. :confused3
I cannot believe you haven't tried Sanaa either!!!!! You must fix that pronto.

I recall hearing about Chef TJ, but I'm pretty sure he didn't make an appearance. I thought maybe it was Casey for a minute (her middle name starts with a J and we call her CJ sometimes) but that doesn't seem to make sense either. Yet another tipsy note mystery.

Those notes are just gems :rotfl2: You always eat somewhere with complex dishes and names when the tipsy notes are at the very best! So enjoyable to read! That bread service at Sanaa is delicious tipsy or not!! I am looking forward to this dinner in August!
Thanks Caroline :P I never caught on but you are so right I always seem to do it when we are having a complex meal. No tipsy D'luxe burger notes for me. That would be too easy.

Oh Kari, how I LOVE your food and drink descriptions...The bread service at Sanaa is AMAZING!
I am to please :D

Doesn't everone order the adult beverages based on there shirts?
Only the best of us :drinking1

Red Naan is my favorite... Just never eat the green Naan...
Good point. And the blue. Steer clear of blue naan just like blue drinks. :scared1:

French Iranian macarrons.. intersting!
Aren't you familiar with the French occupation of Iran circa 1672?

I also like that you say goodby to basially yourself
What can I say, I like me and want to ensure I have a good night

Another great installment!

That 2006 must have toy you guys are talking about was called “My Pal Mickey”, it was never really supported. It had various triggers throughout the park where it would come alive and randomly interact and scare the heck out of you because you would go hours with it doing absolutely nothing, then have a doll suddenly come alive to tell you Chip and Dale are in the area. It was pretty jarring actually.
I have never in my life heard of this and now suddenly want one (only if the 2006 triggers still exist). Though if I know my kiddo his name would turn to my creepy Mickey in no time :P

Ditto :goodvibes:thumbsup2
Your tipsy notes are simply the best!:rotfl:
I’m now singing U2’s “Sunday, Bloody Sunday” in anticipation of your next update which has nothing to do with Disney but everything from where I’m from lol
My tipsy notes may be great but my sober notes need some work. I was totally intending to write Sunday Bloody Sunday and apparently screwed that one right up :drinking1

That installment of tipsy notes was just delightful. I'm thrilled to hear it's not the only one for this report.
I aim to please. I think there is at least 1 more and possibly even 2!

:rotfl: And so it begins!!
Or did it ever really end? :drinking1

Perhaps nice and acidic and crisp too [many] bottlrs? ....NAH!
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I think you called that one!

Indeed! I certainly believe you drink drink you do! These tipsy notes are really top notch!
If you can't produce a few tipsy notes what really is the point of drink drink I doin'

Omg dying!

I love me some tipsy notes!!
Please don't die in France :P Any chance we can get some tipsy French notes out of you?

Wait someone was running a half marathon the next day?!?!?!? Omg go them!
All of the "adults" were except for yours truly. Shocking I know!

Bobby Darin... this has me cracking up, maybe his box set was being sold by someone else??
I'm pretty sure it was a generic 50's set and I just thought the guy selling it was Bobby Darin. I tried googling it to see and best I could come up with was Bowswer from Shanana. I'm sure you are too young for this, but I watched him religiously when I was a kid so I know it wasn't him. No clue who it was though.

You know, two bottles between three friends is really not that bad......
Yes, except when 2 of them are running 13 miles the next morning and the other one does most of the damage. :P

Is red naan really a thing? Or is it a tipsy thing?
It's definitely a tipsy thing. I'm pretty sure I meant to write reg naan for regular vice red.

Were D and D2 running too? Or just Jason?
The whole lot of them!

I drink drink I do :rotfl:
Don't I know you do :drinking1

Tipsy notes are literally my favorite! :upsidedow
What do you know, they are my favorite too :P

Oh Kari, I am literally laughing out loud! Love tipsy notes.
Glad I could hopefully brighten your Monday :-)

I LOVE your tipsy notes. And I think, even though he is dead, Bobby Darrin is still hawking 50's CDs box sets.
He may just be. Or maybe it was his ghost. Now that would be something!

Heavens to Betsy, I do LOVE when you do a little drinkie-drinkie at dinner and write out your notes on who ordered what and if it was good or not....I might need to start doing that too - and maybe even on just a regular Saturday night out!!

:drinking1
You should definitely start doing that. I find it best to wait until later in the night when you forget most things and have a few more drinks. Its really fresh in your mind then :drinking1

Your tipsy notes are the best.
Thanks! I aim to please.

Semi-local friend here! What was the brewery? It's hot enough now (and thank god the rain has stopped for a hot second) that all I want to do is drink beer outside.
We went to Old Bust Head which is far for you. Its out just past Gainesville but they have a lot of great beer and its on the sight of an old world war II cryptology site which is pretty interesting. They don't have a great outdoor area though. If you're looking to go for a drive and have some great beer in an amazing local Dirt Farm past Leesburg is amazing. Its up on a hill with gorgeous views and is much more like a winery than a brewery.

I love your tipsy notes -- I took a few on my trip and trying to decipher them has been...interesting.
Don't decipher them! Just writing them as is makes them all the more "interesting." Or so I tell myself.

Crying laughing!!!!!!
Glad I could help :P

Yes, except when 2 of them are running 13 miles the next morning and the other one does most of the damage. :P
aha! Well a good Sauv Blanc goes down like water...so there's that. We may have several dead soldiers in the recycling after the long weekend here......

A bus was pulling out as we walked up and while the driver wouldn’t let us on he said there was “literally a bus right behind me.” We should have known better than to trust someone who said literally because he apparently meant the Old Key West bus that was literally behind him, not the Animal Kingdom Lodge bus that didn’t show up for another 30 minutes. Oye!

:headache: That would've made me so angry! Sir, I literally could've boarded the bus in the time you lied to me!

Clearly Jason had an old elephant foot beer, because who doesn’t want their IPA with a little old elephant foot or olsnelwphanf bear on the side.

:rotfl:excellent of him to match his drink to his shirt

Randy no respond case shotgun beer?

This was clear to me- Randy didn't respond so you had to buy a shotgun and case of beer . I love the tipsy notes- they made me laugh out loud!

lease don't die in France :P Any chance we can get some tipsy French notes out of you?

Maybe when we get to the resort in Spain. This 10 month old has been making it hard to have more then 2 drinks....but some drinks were had and even some food too

All of the "adults" were except for yours truly. Shocking I know!
Love, but honestly how did they get up?!?
