Magic Bands Upgrade

YES! I came here just to see if I was crazy or that's what happened? I am so bummed bc I wanted the castle one and my sister wanted the Epcot one and now they are gone!
 
Has anyone called to see if they will be adding new ones, or bringing back the ones that have been taken off? Just wondering if when they get a new supply they will add them back in...IDK, just a thought. Since my one daughter lives a few hours away I won't be able to order these until this weekend when she comes home. Hoping that they either add more or bring back the ones they took off.
 
I'm officially bummed again. I really wanted the castle one but I ordered the snacks one for our stay and planned on ordering the castle as my AP. Well, as is my usual MO I dragged my feet, and now the castle is not available anymore. Bummer. I know it isn't a big deal at all, because 2 days ago I was just getting free plain ones anyway, but I'm still kind of annoyed with myself for not just committing and ordering last night and Disney for something only lasting one day. Now I might just wait and see if it comes back or if anything is added, since I did get one and I don't actually need any. I am glad I did our regular order, since Thanos, Sorcerer Mickey, and the snacks one that my sons and I picked are also all gone. I just would have gone with the castle one over the snacks if I had known I was only getting one of them....
 


Definitely a bummer. Disney has let me down a little today. Our puppy was getting sick all night last night and I didn’t get to complete my order out of concern and going back and forth about whether we should take him to the urgent care vet. Now we have missed out on the bands we all wanted. At least we got the pup to the vet this morning after a very long night and he is going to be ok!
 
They have none left now lol. At this point I am guessing its a glitch on there part. I ordered mine and they still have not showed up. Got a confirmation number and my account was charged so I guess it went through. Called Disney and they said IT will have it fixed tomorrow, i'll take that with a grain of salt for my confidence level....This has turned into a disaster for them.
 
I'm super annoyed. I tried all day yesterday and kept getting errors. Today I go and check and they are gone. If they are going to limit availability then maybe they should make sure their site is working so everyone has an equal chance

Yes and no. I looked a earlier today, and the ones we ordered were not showing up, but I just looked now, and instead of showing the ones we picked (Castle and SE), it's showing the previous plain colors we had from before. Seems super glitchy today. They already charged me for the special ones, so I'll be super annoyed if they don't honor those purchases if they sold out today!

Yes same for me now! Its like I never even did my order, so frustrating. When you try to do it again it only has standard magic bands now...no idea why they released this when it wasn’t ready! More work for them

I am speaking to Disney right now and this happened to me as well. I wasn't seeing the ones I ordered just the plain color ones. They don't charge you until they ship or you pick them up at the resort. Because they have been in high demand they are selling out quickly and they have had to revert back to the original color you've chosen. I'm travelling from Canada so I have to pick up at resort. We leave Monday so I am unable to try and order ones in stock. If you still have time to edit I would do that. They won't charge you more than once. Right now I have 12 temporary charges to my credit card because of the glitches they've been having but not one has actually been posted. They told me that if I do end up getting charged they will automatically refund me. If you are unsure I would recommend to call Disney and speak to someone.

Just got off the phone and because so many people that have booked their trips are jumping to get them they sold out very quickly. The girl I spoke with said that they should have only had it available for people who were travelling within the next two months similar to getting fastpasses within sixty days of arrival. People are getting them that aren't arriving until Nov/Dec so it's not really fair to people who are arriving soon. She felt very bad for me because my window has closed on choosing one. Oh well! I'll just splurge and buy one when I'm there after all I'm on vacation so what's another $15!!

Some are coming back now. 10 days left for me to customize so holding out hope for the return of some others!
 
Could someone please kindly tell how much the upgraded ones are? I've been getting the error message since yesterday.... would like to know the price for the Castle and Groot.

They actually charge you right away, not when they ship. Because everything has been so glitchy, i checked my online banking to see if my order went through and my cc had been charged immediately after I ordered.

$10. They are crediting you $14.99 ( for a colored magic band they would normally give you). So what ever the difference is, that is what you pay.

or while you are at it - splurge a bit more for a limited edition one that does cool/different things when you scan it at a tapstyle!!
 
I ordered early Tuesday and now I look in my account and my son's is back to grey even though I got a confirmation email and was charged. Bummed, but trying to be patient to see how things shake out.
 
I get that things sell out - but also super frustrating for people to have one selected and checked out, only to then find out that they sold out and have you back to a solid color

They should have the system set up that you can't check out unless they know they have a band of the style you selected available. While it would suck to see a popup saying "that band is no longer available" much better than thinking you got it only to find out that "just kidding!"

Agreed! and I see no way to go back and change the solid colored one and I have now paid $10 for a grey magic band.
