So Much Freakin’ Epicness Y'all! A May 2019 Epic DIS Meet TR Updated 11/21 x 7!

While I was in route to Pop, I got my room ready text. I was in room 3456, 4th Floor, Building 3 which was in the 50s section. Pop was the first stop and I headed straight to my room to drop off my carry-on bag. Before I did anything though, I took pictures of the room since this was my first time seeing the newly renovated rooms.
I love how fresh and bright the rooms look!

My first stop at Disney Springs was the Disney Style store. I really love this store and can usually lay down some serious cash here. But I was getting really hungry at this point and didn’t spend much time. I saw after I got home that they now have a cute Tiki Room raincoat that I probably would have bought in a heartbeat. But I either missed seeing it or it wasn’t available yet.
I love Tiki themed things too!

Feeling much better after a solid meal, I headed next door to Guest Services. For some reason I thought I had to use my tickets first before I could upgrade to an Annual Pass so I was planning on doing that the next day. But right before I left for the trip, I read somewhere that I could do it without having to scan into a park. I figured that since I was right there, I might as well give it a try. And I was able to do it with no problem at all! I was in an out in less than 10 minutes with this baby in hand.
Hurray!

Then I wandered over to the World of Disney to look around. I did find a few items to buy here. First up was some socks. I had to have the pair with Pluto on them and since it was cheaper if you bought two pairs (Disney math again people) I also grabbed the Stitch pair. Stitch is my second favorite character after Pluto.
You are actually saving money buying both, right??

I only picked up one other thing at Mouse Gear. I love the pens that Disney makes, they write very well. I have plenty at work but I decided I wanted a set for home. I ended up with this set which is based on Magic Kingdom rides.
I need those pens in my life!

By this time it was around 5 pm, my new AP was burning a hole in my pocket and Epcot was open until 11 pm with Extra Magic Hours. I decided to head back to Pop to drop off my purchases and then head to Epcot for a few hours. Of course I managed to just miss a bus at the DS stop and had to wait about 20 minutes for one. While I waited though, I hopped on MDE and was able to snag a Soarin’ FP for 7:30 pm.
Awesome!!

I'm here! It was so nice meeting you finally, Ariana!

OK, I think I’ve gone on long enough about my dogs.

They are all adorable. My husband would have 5 dogs if I let him  We just have our little dachshund, Oscar, for now…I think it's just a matter of time before he sneaks another dog in the house ::yes::

And boy am I glad I decided to speak up and join in! I will admit I was super nervous going into the trip

I think we all felt some trepidation heading into this trip. I couldn't be happier with the way it all turned out though! :grouphug:

I’d much rather be early though than running to get to my flight.

Same!

Nothing like starting out your trip by crawling all over the airport floor picking up tater tots.

Oh no!

And yes I am going back in October/November, did you expect anything else?

I'm jealous! Mike and I have been going the past two Octobers but we aren't going now until March :sad1:

Can you guess from the next picture which bed I used for the week?

Perfect for you :thumbsup2

I also played with the door to the bathroom area which came in handy later in the week once Jackie got there.

That's nice, much nicer than a curtain. I hadn't seen that before.

I was slightly disappointed by the fries though. They don’t look it in the picture but they kind of tasted overcooked. I only ate about ½ of them but it was still plenty to fill me up.

You are having bad potato mojo this trip :sad2:

I ended up with this set which is based on Magic Kingdom rides.

Those are cute! I didn't make it to DS this trip. I would have totally gotten those same pens!

But then I found the PTR talking about the Epic Girls trip that was in the works for May 2019. I “knew” most of the ladies that were going although I think many of them had no idea of who I was. I tend to read a lot more TRs then I comment on mainly because I’m an introvert and somewhat on the shy side.

Finally finding time to read all the lovely TRs I'm so behind on!

I'm so, SO glad you joined in! It was a pleasure meeting you and getting to spend time with you.

I went back and forth for a long time debating with myself as to whether I would speak up and join the group for that trip. As you know since I’m writing this TR, I finally did just that and decided to move my 2019 trip to May.

You seemed very personable and sweet to me! Again, glad you joined us and had such a nice time!

And boy am I glad I decided to speak up and join in! I will admit I was super nervous going into the trip because I really don’t make friends easily, I’m usually too quiet and withdrawn and rarely initiate with people. But I came away from this trip feeling like I made a group of lifetime friends. Like the title says, this trip was epic!

:wave2:

I also stole a lot of pictures off of Facebook from the other ladies.

Feel free to steal!! I know I did!!

Unfortunately, right after I took that picture, I managed to hit the cup of tater tots with my elbow and spilled them all over the floor. Nothing like starting out your trip by crawling all over the airport floor picking up tater tots. I didn’t feel like walking back to the restaurant to get more so I just contented myself with the egg sandwich.

Mmm, but d'oh! :headache:

One thing to know about me if you are new to the TR is that I am extremely picky. I basically never got over my 2 year old palette. I tend to live on chicken tenders and burgers with the occasional plain fish or spaghetti thrown in. On my burgers I like ketchup only so that’s what I ordered along with a side of the fries.

That IS picky!

I could upgrade to an Annual Pass so I was planning on doing that the next day. But right before I left for the trip, I read somewhere that I could do it without having to scan into a park. I figured that since I was right there, I might as well give it a try. And I was able to do it with no problem at all! I was in an out in less than 10 minutes with this baby in hand.

Whoa, mine took over an hour to get, then over 6 hours to get it fixed!

I NEED these!!

joining in. I love your puppies and can imagine how difficult it must be to leave them. I've really enjoyed your previous trip reports and I'm looking forward to this one as well.

I'm here!!!! Tater tots aside it looks like a great start to your trip. The new rooms at Pop look great! Dare I say better than some of the mods.

Following along. I read about this trip and thought it sounded awesome but I don’t consider myself a DISer because I don’t write reports I just read. Secondly my husband would’ve been so jealous. So it was never even a possibility for me. But I’m excited to read how it went for you.

But there is one more that played a huge roll in the week and that was my roommate, Jackie (@missjackiemcg )
Aww, yay! Hi, roomie :)

She joined our trip a little late because she wasn’t sure she could get off of work but I’m sure glad she did!
ME, TOO!!!! #ImSoGladILeftMyTower

Unfortunately, right after I took that picture, I managed to hit the cup of tater tots with my elbow and spilled them all over the floor. Nothing like starting out your trip by crawling all over the airport floor picking up tater tots.
That is tator tot abuse!

I saw after I got home that they now have a cute Tiki Room raincoat that I probably would have bought in a heartbeat. But I either missed seeing it or it wasn’t available yet.
I know!!!! I was thinking I would love all that rain gear!!!! I'll just have to go back :)

I was very happy to once again be an AP holder.
I was so glad, too!! It came in handy saving ME some money this trip, too LOL

Hello again! I'm for sure joining in!

I’m going to spam you with pictures of my dogs before I go on to talk about this trip.

Yessss, that was glorious! What sweet babies you have!

I tend to read a lot more TRs then I comment on mainly because I’m an introvert and somewhat on the shy side.

Me too! But I've been trying to be better about that!

Thank goodness for Southwest and the ability to change flights with no fees other than the difference in the cost of the flights.

Southwest is the best, I'm always so impressed with them!

It’s not strange or anything to have a large dog bed in my bathroom so my babies can be as close to me as possible when I'm getting ready, right? Right??

Absolutely not! Now I'm thinking I should get a cat bed for my bathroom...

Your first day looked like a lot of fun; really nothing like shopping in Disney Springs, especially with that AP discount!

Hi, Ariana! I'm excited to read your latest trip report and to hear your take on all the EPIC fun!

So for $30 more I got the full day on Wednesday instead of a half day. That there is Disney math at its best!

The 11:30 am flight was $25 more but once again Disney math and the thought of having a ½ day extra at Disney won out.

Yep, this seems about right for a DISer! Nothing like some good Disney math. I think you made an excellent decision to have an extra day and a half at Disney for just $55 - quite a bargain! :thumbsup2

I’d much rather be early though than running to get to my flight.

I absolutely agree. I feel like this is even more important in Atlanta - I've had to run through that airport for a connection more than once!

And yes I am going back in October/November, did you expect anything else? I’m not exactly sure how I pulled that one off but Jim didn’t protest too much.

:rotfl2:

Nice work!

I took pictures of the room since this was my first time seeing the newly renovated rooms.

Thank you for all the detailed pictures! I've seen pictures of the main part of the room and the sink, but none of the new "closet" and the bathroom. The door sliding door looks great (I LOVED that feature at Coronado Springs!), but all the shelving probably makes it tougher to store big suitcases. There's also a lot less room for hanging clothes!

Overall, I like the updated rooms as they look very modern and fresh, but I can see how they could feel a bit more cramped. It certainly wouldn't stop me from staying there again!

I hopped on MDE and was able to snag a Soarin’ FP for 7:30 pm.

You had a great afternoon at Disney Springs! I have a slightly more expansive palate, but must admit that the burger looks quite tasty. I'm sorry the fries didn't quite measure up!

It's also a bummer about the ring - I hate when you try to be a responsible person and not overbuy, but then really regret your choice! I did something similar when I bought my first Disney Alex and Ani bracelet. I got the Goofy bracelet (the DIS name underlines why!), but seriously considered the Cinderella Castle bracelet as well. After thinking about it the next few days I returned to DS and got the second bracelet! I'm so happy I went back for it as I wear both of them all the time! I'm glad you were able to find something even if it wasn't exactly what you came for.

Great job scoring the FP for Soarin'! I completely understand the pull of a park now that you had that Annual Pass burning a hole in your pocket!

I can't wait to hear more!

Joining in! I’m looking forward to reading all these Epic trip reports. Of course it makes me wish I could have been there. Maybe one day...

OK, I think I’ve gone on long enough about my dogs.
Nope, it is always good to talk about dogs.

I want to start off by saying I was so in the moment during this trip that I took very few pictures.
That makes the best trips when you live in the moment .

It’s not strange or anything to have a large dog bed in my bathroom so my babies can be as close to me as possible when I'm getting ready, right? Right??
Nope. That is a great idea.

Can't wait to hear all about your trip!

They are all adorable. My husband would have 5 dogs if I let him  We just have our little dachshund, Oscar, for now…I think it's just a matter of time before he sneaks another dog in the house ::yes::
Have you thought about fostering? It is a great way to have multiple dogs.

Am I first?!?
It was so nice meeting you finally, I'm glad you spoke up to join the group!!

Yep you were first! Same to you, I'm so glad I came for the trip.

I would not have expected this! I thought you were super outgoing and friendly! Sometimes I am shy too, I think it depends on the group dynamic and if I find I don't have anything in common with people I find I don't tend to interact. But around people that love Disney I tend to blossom and soon I can't stop talking about Disney!! I loved our group and thought all of us together was amazing!

I'm the same way about Disney. For the most part I'm quiet but ask me anything about Disney and I can talk for hours whether you want to hear it or not! Jim says there's only two times I come out of my shell, at Disney and at the animal shelter where I volunteer. I guess it takes a great passion to get me talking.

Here!! Will read this weekend...

Hi Liesa, thanks for joining in!

Oh no!! I would be so sad. I love tater tots...but for you they became...LATER, tots! (I crack myself up sometimes)

:rotfl2:I was really sad that I lost my tater tots and I'm glad it wasn't an omen as to how the rest of the trip would go.

I agree the room did seem so much smaller with the bed down!

They do seem smaller than before but I like the nice big beds. And that door to the bathroom area is so much nicer than the curtain that used to be there.

I really liked the fries there!

Maybe I just got an overcooked batch. I will definitely go back again, the burger was great.

I don't understand either...so much cheaper than the castle!!

:rotfl:

I am here! It was so good to meet you that one day in Hollywood Studios! Hopefully it won't be the last!

Same here! I do hope we can do more trips like this one.

I can relate. I felt weird since I wasn't apart of the official plans. I kind of felt like I was butting in on the fun. But it was def worth it.

You were definitely not butting it! I had such a great time meeting all the DISer, I wish more could have come.

I sense a theme! It's like the room was made for you!

I never thought of it that way but I sure do like that Pluto bed. And it was super comfortable for a pull down.

I think these came out after we left. I saw the Tiki Raincoat and LOVE IT too!

It's now available on the Disney Store site and is on it's way to my house as we speak.

YEAH! I have loved being an Annual Passholder so far!

Me too! This is the third time I've had an annual pass and my goal is to continue to be one going forward.

I'm here! Can't wait to hear your take on this trip, it looked like a lot of fun!

That's great that you ended up getting an early start to your trip!

Sounds like a good time at Disney Springs! I love the ring you bought!

It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I got to leave a little early. I wouldn't have had any DS time if I didn't.

Here too!
I'll come back to read and comment later tonight. :)

Joining in! Your pups are so cute!! I definitely laughed out loud at your Sulley sits! Too cute! We only have one dog, a pug, I would love to get another but I definitely worry about vacations with more than one dog so I guess we'll stick with one for now!

Disney math is seriously the best. I feel like SW and Disney must be in cahoots with their no change fee lol because I have changed my flights SO many times to get more Disney time in! Especially if the difference is paying more for a flight or getting more Disney time!!

Love the pluto socks and the pens, I definitely need to pick up some of those pens the next time I'm there! I always think I want to buy one of the fun looking autograph pens but then I realize how crazy I'll look at work using them lol so those ones will definitely make me happy without making me look like a crazy Disney person! (even though they all already know this :rotfl:)

Sulley is definitely a weird dog! And yes, vacations are hard with five of them but we have a great boarding place that's actually part of our Vet's office. They take great care of them there. It does add up cost wise though so Jim and I tend to take short trips when we go together.

Well if you get the autograph pens at least you won't have to worry about someone stealing your pen! That's the main reason I use Disney ones at work. Everyone know who they belong to in my office.

And we were so happy you could come! It was so much fun meeting you!

Thanks! It was great meeting you too. I definitely plan to make it back out to DL in the next few years so I'm sure we will meet again.

Hey, I stole it from @chunkymonkey !

:rotfl:There's a lot of stealing, um, a, borrowing going on with this trip.

Hey, we have 1 dog and 4 dog beds placed around the house! Kitchen, Living Room, my Bedroom (where she sleeps), and my parent's bedroom!

I counted after I read this and we have five. One in the bathroom, two in our bedroom and two in the living room. Other than the bathroom one though, Remy is really the only one who uses the others. So basically my spoiled 6 lb Yorkie has 4 beds.

I never really realized how the table folded down - The split in the table leg makes so much more sense!

It's a pretty clever design. I'm curious to see how well they hold up as the years go by.

Just wait until it hits the outlet, then get it!

Hmmmm, half off might just work. :lmao:

Yay I'm here too, partner! ;)

Noooooo do we have to? Okay, fine, if we have to talk about something other than dogs (and schnauzers to boot!) then Disney is okay.

I'm sure I'll spam you guys with more pictures as this TR goes on.

Well of course he is... ?

That Stitch is such a naughty boy!

These are so cute! I never look closely enough at the merch I guess, I never would have looked at these but I love them!

And they are actually pretty good pens. I have some flashier ones I use at work because I know no one will steal them from me. And if I do, they are easy to track down. :D The ones from this trip are a bit too subtle for work so I plan to use them at home.

Off to a good start! I am going to have to tell friends I may have found someone more obsessed with Pluto than me! I would love Pluto room (and probably do have enough for one now), but alas no space for one. Funny story, am house sitting (and doggy sitting) for a friend. I went and grabbed one of the kids stuffed Plutos when I saw it to snuggle with and love on. Now to find the other kids Pluto - I know they each have one since I gave them each one!

:welcome: Always glad to meet another Pluto fan! I've given quite a few stuffed Pluto's out over the years to relatives kids.

I feel like we briefly talked about this, but definitely not long enough!

I think you maybe saw them when I posted on Billie's Facebook post.

Yes please! And please continue to do so :) "Here's my Haunted Mansion photo, followed by a picture of Buddy. Here's a Slinky Dog picture, followed by a picture of Remy..."

I'm sure I will have future pictures to share of them. My phone pictures are all of either them or Disney.

Me too! It was great to meet you!

Same! I had a blast spending time with you and Luke.

Same! I was so nervous before the trip, but everyone was so amazing that it was if we'd all known each other for years!

I felt that way too, I guess it was our mutual love for Disney.

Totally normal. I approve.

Good, didn't want to look too weird there. :rolleyes1 The whole bed in the bathroom started way back when we got one of our previous dogs, Alex, as a puppy. I didn't want to let him roam the house when I was in the shower so I kept him in the bathroom with me. He got used to sleeping on the bed in there when I was showering and it just stuck. The dogs that followed him just took up the habit also.

Oh no! I'm very serious about my potatoes, so that would made me so sad!

It was not a great start to the morning and I'm glad it wasn't an omen for the rest of the trip.

I've only stayed at Pop with Luke and I, so we always leave the bed folded up. We have pulled it down just to see, and it makes for such a tight fit by the door!

It was a bit tighter than the old beds but I did like that you could store suitcases under the beds.

Same! Mustard is gross, relish is gross, onions are gross, tomatoes are gross...

Exactly! I will eat tomato soup as long as it's not chunky but tomatoes any other way are gross. I don't even put cheese on my burgers. Not that I don't like cheese, just don't like it on burgers.

Joining in!

Hi Ryan!

Sounds fun, I'm joining in!

Hi and :welcome:

Joining in, so fun to spend time with you on the trip!!

Hi Caroline! :wave2: So glad I got to meet you on this trip.

It was so nice meeting you. I forgot you have Schnauzers. I love them!!! My grandparents always had them, and I think they are adorable!!!

Hi Jenny! I had a great time spending time with you and Joe. I don't think I will ever ride Soarin' again without thinking of you. :rotfl2: I had a Schnauzer growing up and Jim's Grandma had one so we are fond of the breed. Jim is allergic to shedding dogs so the Schnauzers and Schnauzer mixes are perfect for us.

OMG! Me too! I need to get some in June when I'm there...

I love the new pens. I'm keeping them at home though because they are too subtle in their Disneyness and I don't want to worry about them getting stolen at work.

I have a feeling we will both get a lot of use out of these!!!

I've got two, maybe three more trips planned with mine!

Because they won't let you in?

More like because I don't want in. :rotfl2: You had first hand knowledge of what the downtown area is like. I'm very happy being outside the city.

Or 43,862 if you count all the Plutos.

Accurate.

And he believed you????

After 20 years of marriage, nope he didn't believe me.

Oh! So that's what happened to me. My body decided. It had nothing to do with my extreme loathing of long distance running.
(Or.. just running.)

I think it's opposite for you. For me, my mind wants to do the races but my body is slowly starting to say "Hell no". For you, your mind is what's saying "Hell no".

You've mentioned that...
And, well... so am I.
I've gotten old enough to not care as much anymore, though.
But... I never once thought of you as shy or introverted. I enjoyed your company (brief though it was, both this year and last) very much.

I think Disney is one of the few things that brings me out of my shell, that and volunteering at the shelter. I had a blast both times we were able to meet up. I wish we would have had more time on this last trip but I understood with your daughter being there. My family is still a bit weirded out by the whole "meeting strangers from the internet".

I don't do great in group situations. I much prefer smaller. 1 or 2 is good.

That's definitely me too. Most people I know have given up inviting me to large group gatherings. Of course this trip was different because it was all Disney people.

It's because of your general gift of wordiology.

:rotfl:

I hear that.
While I wasn't too bad with the pictures... there was a point in my trip where I practically stopped. You'll see (if you're going to read along, I mean.)

I'll definitely be over to your TR eventually. I'm determined to get caught up and stay caught up this time (man I sound like a broken record there).

I think we've all agree to call it "borrowing".

I rarely take them. Probably as many as you... which is to say... almost none.

If I could figure out the proper technique to taking them I'd probably take more. Mine always come out looking strange though.

Hey! That's mine!
No?

How'd you manage to sneak into my bathroom? :lmao:

Right. Piper usually is pretty aloof, but Luna goes wherever the people go.

Every one of mine except Ellie wants to be in the same room as us every time. Makes using the restroom a bit interesting.

That sammie looks good! I'm not a tater tot fan. As far as I'm concerned, you could just toss them.
I didn't mean literally!!

:rotfl2:

You have him well trained. ;)

Yes, yes I do.

That's quick! did you sprint? You did say you were a runner.

No sprinting involved but I can move quickly when I'm solo.

This exists?

Yep.

This too, I knew. Never did touch those veggies at the pool hall, did you.

I think I ate a bite or two of the corn to be polite but gave up after that. Just don't like corn unless it's fresh on the cob. I did eat the potatoes though, that's one vegetable I like.

Good to know. I've had that on my list for a while.

It's definitely going to be a place I will head back to again someday.

Very good reason not to... but I'm sure you wish you could.

I do wish I could wear the ears but alas it's not meant to be.

I love how fresh and bright the rooms look!

They are definitely very nice now.

I love Tiki themed things too!

The coat is now available online and it's on it's way to my house right now!

You are actually saving money buying both, right??

Well, sort of. I don't remember the exact price of the top of my head but it was something like $12 each or $10 each if you bought two or more pairs. I probably wouldn't have bought the Stitch ones if that discount hadn't existed so I really paid $20 when I should have paid $12. :rotfl:

I'm here! It was so nice meeting you finally, Ariana!

You too Kelly!

They are all adorable. My husband would have 5 dogs if I let him  We just have our little dachshund, Oscar, for now…I think it's just a matter of time before he sneaks another dog in the house

I'm more of the crazy dog person than Jim is. I think he's still in shock over the fact that we have 5. If Ellie hadn't needed a playmate so badly, we would definitely have stayed at 4. 5 is a bit much and is definitely our max limit!

I think we all felt some trepidation heading into this trip. I couldn't be happier with the way it all turned out though!

Me too, it was a wonderful trip!

I'm jealous! Mike and I have been going the past two Octobers but we aren't going now until March

It's kind of weird for me to be going in October two years in a row. I'm more likely to be there for Christmas but I really want to do the Fall Feast 5K. We will be just missing each other in 2020 because I'm planning on February for the Princess 5K.

That's nice, much nicer than a curtain. I hadn't seen that before.

Yep, that was a better option than the curtains. Those were pretty much useless for keeping out sound and light.

You are having bad potato mojo this trip

Luckily I think that was the last of it. I don't remember any further incidents at least.

Finally finding time to read all the lovely TRs I'm so behind on!

I'm so, SO glad you joined in! It was a pleasure meeting you and getting to spend time with you.

It was a pleasure meeting you also! No worries, I'm behind everywhere myself. I'm hoping to finish updating this one today and start catching up on everyone else's the rest of the week. The boss is out of the office until 6/3 so I have some downtime to do some catching up.

You seemed very personable and sweet to me! Again, glad you joined us and had such a nice time!

I think Disney brings me out of my shell!

That IS picky!

Yeah, I get so frustrated with myself because I wish there was more I liked. Some stuff is taste but I also have some texture issues that cause problems.

Whoa, mine took over an hour to get, then over 6 hours to get it fixed!

Wow, that's just crazy. I'm glad everything went smoothly with mine.

joining in. I love your puppies and can imagine how difficult it must be to leave them. I've really enjoyed your previous trip reports and I'm looking forward to this one as well.

:welcome:Thanks for joining in! It's not so bad leaving them when I know Jim is there to take care of them. Leaving them at the boarders though is much harder.

I'm here!!!! Tater tots aside it looks like a great start to your trip. The new rooms at Pop look great! Dare I say better than some of the mods.

Hi Kari, thanks for joining in! I'm glad the tater tot incident was the only issue I had that day! Those Pop rooms are pretty nice now. I can't wait till they finish the All Star ones because I love both Music and Movies.

Following along. I read about this trip and thought it sounded awesome but I don’t consider myself a DISer because I don’t write reports I just read. Secondly my husband would’ve been so jealous. So it was never even a possibility for me. But I’m excited to read how it went for you.

Hi! If you read and comment then you are a DISer! Several of the people on this trip don't write reports. Jim was pretty jealous, especially after I showed him the pictures of two characters I happened to meet. But at the same time, he didn't want to do most of the activities we were doing so it was better that he didn't come with me.

Aww, yay! Hi, roomie :)

That is tator tot abuse!

It really was. I was so sad to lose all of those delicious tots.

I know!!!! I was thinking I would love all that rain gear!!!! I'll just have to go back :)

As you know, I had to order the Tiki Room one. There's also a really cute MK one that I saw today.

I was so glad, too!! It came in handy saving ME some money this trip, too LOL

I'm glad I could help out with that!

Hello again! I'm for sure joining in!

Hi Karamie! It was so nice meeting you and your Dad on this trip.

Yessss, that was glorious! What sweet babies you have!

Thanks!

Me too! But I've been trying to be better about that!

I'm trying to be better too. I think I only have about 25 more to get caught up on. :rotfl:

Southwest is the best, I'm always so impressed with them!

I love Southwest, I rarely fly any other airline any more. Jim still likes Delta for the assigned seating because he get's claustrophobic if he doesn't have an aisle seat. But he's fine with Southwest as long as we do the early bird check in.

Absolutely not! Now I'm thinking I should get a cat bed for my bathroom...
Your first day looked like a lot of fun; really nothing like shopping in Disney Springs, especially with that AP discount!

I do love shopping at DS but I cut my time there a bit short once I realized I could go to Epcot that night.

Late, but joining in.

Hi Doc! You're not late, you made it onto the 2nd page!

Hello! Joining in! Was so nice meeting you! Can't wait to read along with all your adventures!

Hi Jennifer! Thank you again for the wonderful Ears! I just wish I could have worn them a bit longer but they will have a special place in my Pluto room once I finally get it all put back together.

Hi, Ariana! I'm excited to read your latest trip report and to hear your take on all the EPIC fun!

Thanks for joining in, it was an awesome trip!

Yep, this seems about right for a DISer! Nothing like some good Disney math. I think you made an excellent decision to have an extra day and a half at Disney for just $55 - quite a bargain!

When you type it out like that, it sounds perfectly reasonable!

I absolutely agree. I feel like this is even more important in Atlanta - I've had to run through that airport for a connection more than once!

Atlanta is a big airport! Plus traffic to get there can be rough.

There's actually plenty of room for big suitcases under the beds. I emptied one of mine into the drawers and then stowed it under the bed. Jackie and I ended up using the chairs from the table to put our suitcases on. She had hers in front of the adjoining door and I had mine in between the TV stand and the little coffee stand.

There is definitely a lot less hanging space but I did discover something that I didn't take a photo of. If you look back at the picture with the ironing board, you will see a black knob to the right of it on the outside of the shelving unit. That knob actually pulls out and extends the amount of hanging space! I ended up just hanging my toiletry case there because Jackie didn't hang up any of her shirts. But we could have used it if necessary.

I was pretty sad about the ring but the one I got is very pretty. And I will say that it wasn't the only ring I purchased on this trip.

Joining in! I’m looking forward to reading all these Epic trip reports. Of course it makes me wish I could have been there. Maybe one day...

It was a really awesome trip and I do wish even more DISer could have made it.

Nope, it is always good to talk about dogs.

OK, good. I sometimes feel that I talk too much about them but then again, I do consider them my kids. :rotfl2:

That makes the best trips when you live in the moment .

Very true, I had so much fun on this trip. My poor TR is going to suffer a bit though.

Nope. That is a great idea.

Can't wait to hear all about your trip!

I'll have the next update coming right up.
