Hi. We will hopefully be going to DL in the summer. The Canadian resident ticket offer is open until February 28, with tickets valid until December 31, 2020.
I’m pretty sure last time this was offered the fine print said that if we didn’t use the tickets before expiry, we could put the amount we paid for the tickets towards new tickets the following year. In other words, we wouldn’t be out the money we had paid.
Does anyone have these tickets now and can please check to see if that same wording is on them? That would make it easier to justify buying them when we haven’t finalized our plans yet!
Although if we bought them and they didn’t have that option, I guess we would just have to figure out a way to go in 2020 for sure!!!
Thanks!

Yes that language is on my tickets. Also, the ones I have do not expire until January 13 2021. They also had to be purchased by Feb 16 2020 so I suggest double checking your dates.

Thanks! That’s perfect. And thanks for the clarification on the dates too. I hope you have a great time when you go!

I also have the date January 13, 2021 for expiration on our tickets :)

hmmm I wonder if that is true. I have always made it in time but it would be great if they could be extended by paying the difference.

We had to do that last year. My oldest dd got a new job and couldn’t go with me on the trip. We went again with her after her ticket expired and went to the DL ticket booth and she just paid the difference in price. But she lost the early entry morning. The tickets bought at the Ticket Booth at the parks don’t include the early entry morning.

Thanks for all the answers and extra information. I hadn’t thought about magic morning either. That’s why it’s great to have these boards!

Just about to purchase tickets with my more rewards. Is the maxpass portion discounted as well? I added it on last time once I got to the park as I did not think it was discounted for Canadians

The current Canadian Residents offer online through DL.com is $10/person per day instead of the $15/person per day if you buy it ad hoc. Even $5 US is a good savings for us right now, and it adds up over the days!

How do you get the maxpass for $10/day. Every time I have looked it has been $15/day. Just checked right now and this is Canadian discount for 5 days.

I guess it's now the same price. Last year when we used the discount, you could add on MP for $10 instead of $15. Sorry for the mistake!

I wish it was a discount on that, too! I hate that we can't get the discount gift cards here. And I've tried every which way, but we can't get a bundle with a discount for a good neighbour hotel and tickets. I wish they would do more for Canadians.

it was 10.00 in 2017 the first time we used it. But I guess it is not 20% off for us Canucks?

Just purchased Canadian resident tickets last night and felt like I sold my soul a little paying 15$ a day for MP with 5 day park hoppers. But on the bright side we’re planning a trip for September or November :)

We're getting 5-day PH with MP too. It's a savings of around $250 USD, so a very good deal.

We are also planning two trips on for Halloween for a quick 3 day and a longer trip in early December. The savings is better than nothing... I will be able to use the savings to put towards the max pass.
