The Lurkyloos Do Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 1 Billion Photos!

Yes! I think a lot of what we didn't like was the stuff around just getting into/navigating the land — the crowds, the lines, the cast member interactions. I am eager to go back when they get the kinks worked out and the crowds die down :lmao: so I can just experience the land itself.

The Lurkyloos Do Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 1 Billion Photos!

Thank you! I'll let Patrick know. :D Oh my gosh, you're right! We never heard anyone say "May the Force Be With You" either!!! We did have cast members refer to us as "outlanders" several times, which made Patrick want to squint at their name tag and reply, "Thanks... Steve from Fullerton..."...

    Cruise Wedding Package Change/Photography

Photography has never been part of the Cruise package. Shutters' add-on packages ranged from $349–$999 last I checked, with an extra charge of $399 for just the digital images. When you get your planning kit from Disney it will have the current prices in it.

Official Superthread: SWGE Opening May 31st

I just posted an exhaustive Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge trip report and about a billion photos over in the Disneyland Trip Reports sub-forum! We had reservations Saturday at 5pm. I can't help but think that people who go after the reservation period ends will have a better time...

The Lurkyloos Do Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 1 Billion Photos!

Our Thoughts… What I’ve been trying to figure out is… Why are Patrick and I, people who were born with Star Wars and grew up steeped in its culture and lore, so disappointed in Star Wars Land? We were made to love this place! We want to love this place! Could it be because I still have the same...

The Lurkyloos Do Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 1 Billion Photos!

And the hordes had descended…. We sought refuge in the Market. Patrick had yet another cringe-worthy cast member interaction when he went to buy one of these adorable Jabbas at the Toydarian Toymaker. Cast Member: “Do you vow to take good care of this animal?”...

The Lurkyloos Do Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 1 Billion Photos!

After that, we’d seen all there was to see. Time to wander around! This is when we noticed… 6. You Will Not Hear Star Wars Music Unless You Pay $200 for It! That’s right. Despite the fact that John Williams’ scores contain some of the all-time greatest movie themes and are integral to the...

The Lurkyloos Do Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 1 Billion Photos!

We stumbled on yet another long line and asked the cast member what it was for. When she said “A store” (hooray for our first straight answer!) my initial reaction was, “No way am I going to waste more precious time standing in line just to get into a store!” But when we realized we’d already...

The Lurkyloos Do Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 1 Billion Photos!

Surprisingly, the Porg stuffed toy doesn’t even look as good as the talking one we got from Target last year. But I love all the other super-weird stuffed animals they had. I eventually adopted a mini mooing Bantha cuz I loved its wall-eyed stare. Another favorite touch was the animatronic...

The Lurkyloos Do Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 1 Billion Photos!

I dunno who this guy is, but his animatronic moves really well! Disney mercifully decided to forgo the half-dozen video pre-shows (um, I’m, uh, looking at you, um, Flight of Passage) and cut right to the chase. After PokeyFace here gives you a quick introduction to his smuggling operation...

The Lurkyloos Do Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 1 Billion Photos!

On Saturday, thanks to the amazing generosity of our pal and DISer Pryncess Chrysty, we got to attend a preview of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and take for you approximately 1 billion photos. Also, formulate opinions… If you have already booked a trip to see Galaxy’s Edge, STOP...

Official Disney Cake Chatter - Part V!

You can order a cake for pickup at BoardWalk Bakery. No, you only need to be dining at that resort. However, only BoardWalk Bakery allows you to pick up a cake without a restaurant reservation. Correct. Disney has no standard cakes except the dome cake you can request when you check in at...

    Suggestions for after-wedding lunch

Welcome! Yes! You can book large-party reservations at any restaurant on property. Each of them has its own party-size limit, so you would just make multiple reservations that add up to your total. They will warn you that they can't guarantee you'll all sit together unless you reserve the first...

Official Disney Cake Chatter - Part V!

Here's a cake shared with me by a Disney fan who recently had a great experience working with Art of Animation on her anniversary cake! She says... "I ordered a little mermaid 6" cake from Art of Animation to be delivered to our room on arrival. It was chocolate cake, strawberry mouse filling...

Official Disney Cake Chatter - Part V!

Right now your best bet for a fondant-covered mini cake with non-standard flavors is the Yacht & Beach Club pastry team. They are the easiest to work with, the most flexible and accommodating, and they are doing amazing work. Here are the Coco and Avatar cakes they made me a few months ago:

Disneyland Memories or Elopement Package Option? Looking for just the couple to be the guests

Unfortunately, Disneyland does not offer the Memories Collection like Walt Disney World does. The cheapest option is the Escape Collection, which you can also do with just 2 guests if you're OK with the price tag. It's $6,500 if you book 5 nights at a Disney hotel or $8,000 if you don't...

Sounds like you covered it! I would just call back a day or two before to reconfirm everything. If you can't get a hold of the person you ordered from, you can just call the main Private Dining line and they'll be able to reconfirm the details for you: 407-824-2474
