Thank you. The snarky replies from some are unnecessary. This past week has not been “normal” Florida weather and the OP’s concerns are warranted.

The weather has been tolerable. We had a gorgeous, warm, SUNNY day for most of Tuesday. A downpour around 3pm that lasted around 45min and then a steady rain close to 9pm. Nothing as bad as first feared.

We’ll be there next week too, 14th-21, and I’m trying to stay optimistic that it won’t be a total washout. I agree the forecasts look depressing. We’ll have our ponchos ready but really don’t want to deal with rain ever single day. Praying it’ll just end up as passing showers or move out...

Just took my DD back yesterday. She’s a 2nd semester freshman. I replenished any toiletries, OTC medicines, laundry supplies, and made sure her fridge and pantry (Rubbermaid tote lol) was filled.
