    Gay Days newbie questions

    1. It depends on what you can afford. I have never stayed at or visited the host hotel. We always stay on-site with a car so we don't have to depend on Disney transportation. Since we have purchased DVC, we always try to stay near the Magic Kingdom. 2. If you are talking about a park, I am...

2018 Gay Days @ the Walt Disney World Resort

You would have to go to Riverside. There is a full service spot called Boatworks. The couple of times we have eaten there is has been good. It is probably about a 15-20 minute walk. It is actually a nice walk over.

2018 Gay Days @ the Walt Disney World Resort

Hi Woody516! We loved staying at POFQ. It is the smallest of all of the resorts and has a charm that many don't have because of its size. There is no full service place to eat (we still miss Bonfamiles), but other than that it is great. I can't say if it has fewer children than other places...

    RuGirls at WDW!

We were there at Gay Days a few years ago waiting for the parade above at the train station and saw Shangela wandering around as a boy, but it was clearly her. I have read the Raven is a big Disney fan and has posted about her trips to Disneyland and that she also travels to Disney World...

Voices of Liberty & American Adventure

They are working on the elevator for about two months, so the schedule has changed for the time being. I think it will be going back to the old schedule after that.

Any COUPLES who are Disney Fans!?

My husband and I have been going for almost twenty years. I was the big Disney fan and he reluctantly went on our first trip. He called it a tourist trap! I was quite offended, and told him so. But he changed his mind after the second trip and we go 2-3 times a year. In fact, we bought DVC...

Top of the World access question

The last time we stayed at Bay Lake Tower and the Poly villias was the second week of June. We had friends staying at the Floridian, but not at villas. They had hoped to come to The Top of the World. So, one night when we went up, we asked at the checkin desk if they could join us. The man...

We like the Grand Floridian Orchestra and listening to them from Mizners while enjoying a drink. Ric

    First timer from Toronto!

Wow, that is great. I can't help with Universal. There is so much to do at Disney, though. Have you decided on which parks you want to go to? Are you staying on site? We have favorite restaurants and rides we like in each park. There are also spots in various resorts we like to visit as...

    Ideas for couple?

Here are some things you might not have done with the kids. Monorail pub crawl. or at least Mizners at the Grand Floridian. Nice to have a drink and listen to the band in the evening. They have horse drawn carriage rides at Port Orleans and Fort Wilderness. I always think about doing...

Date Night @ MK in December

I think riding the Peoplemover in the dark can be romantic, especially if you can get a car alone. Eating at Be our Guest or Tony's Town Square. Taking the monorail to the Floridian and having a drink at Mizners and listening to the band play. They might even play something for you for a tip...

    Top of World lounge

This lounge is great. It isn't very busy because of how they let people in. They only time it gets busy is for fireworks, and many come just for that and leave, so it's quiet again. We have gotten to know many staff. They would love more to come as they have little to do from open til...

    Fiances bday at WDW

I hope you have a great time! Make sure to let the hotel know before you visit that you will be celebrating a birthday. They sometimes do special things, but there is no guarantee. Make sure to pick up a birthday pin in the parks. You can get it at City Hall in the Magic Kingdom and the...

HELP! Planning a Surprise WDW Trip for Partners 30th Birthday

Make sure you tell them that you are celebrating a birthday and anniversary. You sometimes get some nice surprises, but don't plan on them. Also, get the Birthday and Anniversary pins at the front of the park. If you wear them you will get lots of notice from cast members. It makes the...

Grocery Store somewhere between BCV and BLT?

We always go to the Publix on Vineland as well. Good selection, the prices don't seem bad, and the people who work there are always nice. We ahve tried a couple of other places, but that one is closest and seemed nicest to us. Ric

Congrats to Minnesota and Rhode Island

So happy for all of you in these two states. Saw the pics from the all night wedding ceremonies in Minnesota and wished it was in Michigan too! A friend of mine was inspired by the day and made a video for a recording he did for a fan. Hope you enjoy it as well...
