    slo’s THURSDAY 4/25 poll - Bologna

:thumbsup2We eat a decent amount of sandwiches here too and I’ve always got cold cuts in the fridge. Bologna isn’t my favourite but I don’t hate it. I can’t remember ever having it fried though.

    Extra "guest" in room- EEEK!!

Personally, I’d just ask (assertively) to be moved to another room.

    slo’s WEDNESDAY 8/24 poll - Rubber Gloves 🧤

Same here. I mostly use them when cleaning the oven - that stuff burns instantly.

    Axe Deodorant

 Me too. It's a rose-based scent that I LOVE and get tons of compliments on.

Any good disposable razors out there?

Schick Intuition. It's the one with the soap built right into the blade.

What is the smartest film/TV twist you have ever seen?

 How did it end? We dropped off watching it somewhere along the way but had been pretty engaged for the first season or two.

Thanks for updating us, @slo . One of my life's guiding principles is "All's well that ends well"!! :flower3:

    slo’s MONDAY 4/22 poll - Disney Parks Dining 🍽️

Character meals, I guess. All our visits to DLR start with dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen the first evening and then we hit the parks the next morning. After that, whatever happens, happens. :goofy:

What do you wish you could eat?

Anything deep-fried. So, so delicious and tempting but I've got severe acid-reflux and the results are torturous. I'd be lying if I said I never threw caution to the wind, but I always regret doing so. :(

What is the smartest film/TV twist you have ever seen?

The one that immediately jumps to mind is the first episode of This Is Us. It was at the very end - a pan out to a wide shot of a hospital waiting room. The scene showed decor and people in attire instantly recognizable as being from early 1970'ish, which was the first clue the plot was not set...

Why are new homes built mostly McMansions when people want smaller?

Here in Canada, we've got critical housing shortages nationwide. Sales are robust in practically every location but the actual demand is "wonked" (for lack of a better word) due to serious affordability issues. We've got a convergence of a cool economy, the highest mortgage rates in 20 years...

What's something about yourself you hope never changes?

I've thought about this before too. I agree. :flower3: On a more mundane note; I hope not to lose my ability to cook and bake. As my DMom began to decline cognitively, it got to a place where she just couldn't do it anymore and it was very emotional loss for her. It would be for me, too.

    Mother’s Day project at church

 She’s not researching a Master’s thesis; just trying to make a touching little tribute video for Mother’s Day at church. None of this is on-point for that.

    Mother’s Day project at church

Going by age group does (or can) include any of the type of mom you mentioned.

slo’s FRIDAY 4/19 poll - Green Olives vs Black Olives

I like them! The pimento stuffed green ones are standard relish tray fare from my childhood. Black ones are for salad or popping straight out of the can. I prefer the canned ones; they’re mild and buttery as compared to the fresh brined ones which are sharper and usually haven’t been pitted.

    Interview Questions

Really? All the serious candidates you interview take notes? I’ve never once had that happen in 18 years as a hiring manager. Never once.

    slo’s THURSDAY 4/18 poll - Michael Buble 🎶🎤

I certainly know who he is and have a warm spot for him as a modern Canadian icon. But I don’t listen to music much so his work is not really a thing for me.

How many members of your family have drivers licences?

All of them, who are of age. Here it is very uncommon for a healthy, neurotypical adult not to have a driver’s license, whether or not they have a car.

How many miles a year do you drive?

IDK precisely, but my car is a mileage-limited lease so I don’t put more than 15K a year on it. We almost always take DH’s for long road trips of 1K or more distance.
