Official 2022 HHN 31 - Horror is Universal

Do you still use the VIP entrance to get in the park, or use the main gate?

If the RIP tour doesn't start until later, do you go in early? How does it work?

You're projecting again. I never stated that I wasn't satisfied. I stated that I didn't like the short term focus of the company which is directly attributable to its current leadership. To your second point, the majority of DVC extras, like free parking and discounts on dining, merchandise, and...

DVC still is more than just another time share scheme for now. Given the increase in hotel costs across the board, we've already broken even on our 2012 investment, even considering annual dues, so whatever we make on the reversion when we sell is just gravy. I suggest you take this argument to...

You're projecting. Besides the "Welcome Home" greeting and the purple light that comes on the scanner when you log into the parks, there's nothing that I can think of about DVC that can't be accessed by an annual passholder. I'm hardly outraged; more like disappointed.

Obviously, since that's what I wrote. No other theme nor amusement park has set aside as many additional-for-pay experiences as Disney. Disney used to be about exceeding the guest's expectations, and now they're willing to do that primarily for extra cash.

That's where I think they're at right now. Leadership don't care about the legacy of the past or the future. They're much too focused in the present, and limited vision wasn't what made Disney Parks so beloved. We're DVC owners, and will be renting our points to others for cash, and staying...

More people seem to be coming to that conclusion. Check out recent TripAdvisor reviews - they are scathing. Remember that Disney is a very expensive trip for most families which brings high expectations and inevitable comparisons given opportunity cost.

Official 2022 HHN 31 - Horror is Universal

Hello, Everyone! We will be newbies at HHN this year, and plan to go the last week of October. We are considering the RIP Tour because it was recommended earlier in this thread to novices, and because we think it would be fun to hang out with other people. However, I can't walk fast, and...

Increase In Teen Boys Targeted for Extortion on Social Media

My nephew held a laser pointer to his eye and looked into it last week. Thank goodness the batteries were dead. Kids do dumb stuff. You can't always predict it.

    Return of spas?

There are spas at the Waldorf, Four Seasons, and JW Marriott. We're booked at the Marriott for Friday.

With Magical Express going away, how are you getting to WDW in 2022?

Rental car. We're DVC members, so no parking charges at the resort. We can pick up groceries, go outside the parks for dinner and spa time, and don't need to worry about masks.

    Tenneesee DVC group

We're in Nashville. We have 220 points at AKV Kidani. Just my husband and I. Also fortunate to have lots of SWA points and a companion pass. We do a couple of 4 day trips every year, and have also been to Aulani. Heading out Wednesday before AP expires. We've really enjoyed DVC.

Really good flea pills that require no vet visit?

Look up Little City Dogs. They sell the active ingredients in flea and tick medications. We have used their products for years. We have an 18 year old outdoor cat who gets a daily dose of nitenpyram, and she is as healthy as can be, and her coat is gorgeous. I can't recommend them enough.

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

I d I don't think that they were selling any 2020 tickets, until the recent announcement. Has the UK restricted visitors from the US? If so, that may be why.
