Fantasy Springs is opening June 6th 2024

We’re in Tokyo evening of 4 to 10 June inclusive. This is a bonus trip, md we’re going to do one day at each, dates are just a coincidence. Thoughts are, as we pretty much won’t be able to get Fantasy Springs access anyway is to go on Wed 5 June, or chance the opening of 6th? And one other...

    hEDS-question

Stretchy skin isn't always synonymous with hEDS. This may help: https://www.ehlers-danlos.com/2017-eds-classification-non-experts/hypermobile-ehlers-danlos-syndrome-clinical-description-natural-history/

    hEDS-question

Our daughter has hEDS and we’re just back. We hired her a wheelchair they was delivered to the hotel. As she is under 18 she couldn’t hire a scooter which would have been our preferred option otherwise.

Disney's PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER RESORT Information & Questions

We had the door with a fully accessible room/roll in shower (daughter is part-time wheelchair user and can't shower over bath most of the time.) With the curtain someone would be able to do their teeth whilst another was using the toilet whereas it's all in one so one person at a time only.

Just back - our DW experiences

It was a transfer. I've seen it on other rides when we took my mother-in-law that somehow they knew to slow it back down, with a different cast member don't know if it was a mark or a flag or something.

Just back - our DW experiences

When it was folded, which wasn't often, we used the normal line. Or I'd push her on and she would change to a normal seat and I'd fold it up then. I'd let the driver know this before they did everything. At the destination I could sometimes get her out without using the wheelchair so I'd let...

Ecv on boat from portafino to parks ?

We just returned and the driver told us a limit of 2 wheelchairs on each boat. There wouldn't be room for more as there was a step down for most of the seating. Same would apply for ECVs. Having said that apart from us we saw no other wheelchair or ECV users on the boats on the few days we...

Just back - our DW experiences

We're just home from 11 nights staying at POFQ. DD16 has hEDS and related issues and often uses a walking cane/stick or wheelchair depending on the day she is having. DH sometimes required an ECV from a recent knee injury. I preordered both the ECV and wheelchair from Buena Vista rentals...

    Some best kept secret restaurants?

We really enjoyed Turf Club - both the mains and dessert was brilliant, we didn't have a starter. We decided on it as we were unexpectedly at Disney Springs and couldn't get an ADR there, but Turf Club had a lot of availability so we walked around. We had a better dinner there than at...

My DD16 and her friend did everything on FP today in AK, plus two shows, sit down lunch at Rainforest Cafe, and multiple rides on EE and Dinosaur. We started with FPs for FOP, EE and Dinosaur and picked up the others along the way. Started at 9am and left after a light dinner at Flame Tree...

    New Credit Card Authorization Holds

TLDR: According to POFQ, Non-US issued Amex cards will not reauthorise/add further $100 holds and stops at that amount - we're from Australia. Full story - checked in last week, left a $100 authorisation which showed on our Amex. We've had minimum reason to charge to the room, paying cash...

Strollers in the Hallways at Resorts

In case anyone is unsure if they can fit - we're in POFQ at the moment, as I type in fact, 3 people. My husband has an ECV (no, he isn't obese or whatever shaming is cool right now, just injured) and a wheelchair for my daughter with a disability. Plus luggage etc. And we fit quite...

Our experiences at Universal Studios with a wheelchair.

After you get off the boat there is a landing and a set of stairs to get up to the park entries and City Walk. It is that ramp that I'm referring too. I found the picture - it was on my daughter's phone.

We'll be the same, clearing customs at LAX (from Sydney) then bag drop just after customs for our next flight. We just follow the crowd to regular baggage claim and take them from there.

    Remedial/sports/physio Massage near WDW

We have weekly physiotherapist massage sessions for DD16s legs and hips (she has Ehler-Danlos hypermobility type with hypotonia muscles) and I supplement massages in between when she’s had a really bad day or she has an extra session. It’s mainly to relax the muscles and her. She’ll be in a...
