    Heathrow hotel/parking

What is the parking like there? The website says limited parking first come first serve but don’t know if they just put that on every hotel?

Has anyone found sensible car hire prices yet?

It took about 3 months of regular checking but finally managed to get a full size for £565 with zero excess through Autoeurope with Budget. That is for Easter holidays this year. It did seem that odd codes were open for a short period so a lot of luck.

Best sim for using mobile in USA?

Was about to say the same thing, can keep normal sim/number in case people need to get hold of you but data goes through the eSim. I used Ubigi for travel to India and it worked perfectly. Their USA options are 3GB for $14 and 10GB for $33. From what I can see the 3 sims we have PAYG will...

AZ vaccine and entry to US

My understanding is that they have confirmed they will accept those approved by the FDA and those approved by the WHO of which the AZ jab is. The full details aren't out yet we are waiting to hear what the position will be on 12-17 year olds with 1 jab, fully vaccinated by UK rules but not...

Avoiding currency exchange fees if renting dvc points.

In a similar boat to yourself, my plan is to use a method proposed in the past, I'm going to buy some disney egift cards from target paid with paypal dollar balance and then save until our dues come up later in the year and use the gift cards. That way I'm not having to convert back to sterling...

Miami airport - has anyone connected via Miami? Have tips/warnings/info?

Just posted something similar on the other thread. Like the others have done it a couple of times but always driven, prefer it now to tampa and 3 hours 30 to 4 hour easy enough drive up, really easy to get out the airport and 90% is on cruise control. Plenty of places to stop along the way to...

will connecting time increase in American arrival airport due to covid requirements?

If you've already got the transatlantic flight I'm assuming you'd be buying a standalone domestic flight? If not booked through on same booking then give it longer otherwise a missed connection is all on you. we are in the same boat booked to Miami but with the intention to drive (if we can find...

I can't believe after all this time dealing with slow travel kettles or boiling water for DW's tea on the stove we discover the beverage button, a mug in the microwave, select the beverage button and in 2 mins we have a tea temp ready mug of water! MIND BLOWN....

    Are Disney out pricing themselves?

Pete has covered this on the podcast several time, the repeat visitor like most on these boards are the ones it seems are getting effected more. On the whole we buy less in the parks, have eaten in most signature restaurants so now have our favourites etc. I guess it's fair simple supply and...

Was worried about using David's from the UK but have rented some leftover points a few times now as agree with the others, great service. No reservations if we ever have any left again!

Renting DVC points from the UK?

We've rented our DVC points out through them a couple of times now and it's gone well from our side. A lot of trust involved still but they are great at making it all go smoothly so would recommend them rather than arranging something direct.

    Swap from OKW to AKL?

We are currently in AKL and considering if we move to OKW. We are DVC members so it's the other way round for us that more expensive in points to switch to OKW. We have stayed in both and love OKW so a little torn. First week is in a villa off site so we have decided to stick with AKL to get the...

"* To benefit from Feel At Home, SIM only phone customers must have been with Three for more than 30 days. If you're on Pay As You Go, all you need to do is convert your credit into an Add-on. You can then use the allowance in any Feel At Home destination." Also you should get a text when...

    Planning an Easter Visit

We went last Easter and going again next Easter. It does make a different when Easter falls in relation to spring break. Next year main spring break season will be mainly over, the week before Easter will be very busy but we spend the first few days getting our feet anyway. We intend to fly out...

Is wifi good enough now to not get a sim card?

I had no problems in Kidani or OKW, they have upgraded the wifi from even a year ago where I had to drop connection and pick up in different locations etc. The airline delayed our bags over the Easter weekend so made quite a few phone calls over skype from the parks and the resort and got a...

    Disney Magic Revamp

You know what we love the classic ships, loved the Dream as well but these changes just convinced us to change from Dream to Magic next Easter. DS is a keen Marvel fan so the new Oceaneers club is going to go down well. Plus the new slides will hopefully keep them both busy, waiting to see the...

Walk from Hilton Hotel Heathrow to T4

I stayed there last year and saw quite a few people getting a golf cart shuttle I think provided by the hotel so you could always ask for assistance as well if there aren't any luggage trolleys available. It took me about 10 mins on my own but is all indoors so would be safe with little ones.
