Another vote for SSR. We prefer AKV for larger family trips, but SSR for just the two of us.

Has anyone been on the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Cruise for DVC members lately? We are wondering if it is worth the $85 per person price versus the $69 for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise. Also, since it is a group of no more than 10, do people usually tip the captain for this cruise?

Great report, thanks! We will be newbie cruisers next March so reading great reports like this helps us in our planning and expectations.

It will be our first Disney cruise too, or any cruise for that matter. The last day, the 10th, will be our 33rd wedding anniversary! Looking forward to it.

Depends if we know ahead of time that we would get our money's worth. Some years we may have gone enough, but some trips were more spur of the moment and not planned that far out. This year we do have three trips planned so we bought the Gold pass.

The times we've been there, the railing/wall space filled in fairly quickly closer to starting time so if you want to watch from the front row, you may want to be there a little earlier, maybe by 15-20 minutes? The rest of the terrace had plenty of room.
