Everything Genie, Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane - Please Read Posts 1-7

We've been here since 5/18, have genie+ w park hopper. We've been doing this since the paper fast pass days, my short quick feedback across the board from our entire family, never got our every park wish list of attractions done so fast and easily ever. We've been doing one purchase a day...

    Is Resort Hopping Allowed Again?

Guess ppl are missing the point on this one. There's zero volume here now, maybe the GF and Contemporary were anamolies this trip. Been to TOWL many times, never denied parking and told to go pound sand. If it required a lunch/breakfast reservation to access a parking lot to park, eat, shop...

    Is Resort Hopping Allowed Again?

GF had four weddings which is why parking was restricted. The gate person at Contemporary was just down right nasty and we are BLT "owners"

    Is Resort Hopping Allowed Again?

Been doing this for years, like a decade plus, they've always handled the volume. Trust me, never been a problem but it will be now since they dumped magic express.

    Is Resort Hopping Allowed Again?

Cliff notes, don't assume you will resort hop going forward w a rental unless you have a resy or are willing to use transportation to a park then hop on a bus/tram/monorail to a resort. Kiss another WDW freedom goodbye. We got denied entry to GF and Contemporary yesterday, we are DVC members...

Everything Genie, Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane - Please Read Posts 1-7

Heading to WDW May 18 to May 24, we are DVC BLT members, prob have 12 family trips under our belts, last trip was in the last 18 months. That being said, after having scanned through the FAQ on all these Genie, LL, etc etc changes I still can't make heads or tails of what at a minimum, a...

Im familiar w the technolgy the interwebs say is in magicbands, def not GPS but its location trackable depending on the level back end and infrastructure Disney has implemented, given the value of that data and anaylytics these days Im sure they spare no expense. Its def not worth them using it...

There are these my disney experience kiosks with an umbrella and podium throughout all parks, the CM was so excited we got on ROTR, and evem more sikedbto realign all our FP's that we missed due to our boarding group time. It actually worked out great because my FP were 10AM BTM, and 430PM Mine...

I'd expect all bets to be off the minute you set foot outside of the park with your band. That device knows your location at all times, and we all probably clicked our privacy rights away somewhere along the lines for the magic band.

Yesterday I had FP for Big Thunder at MK, we missed those because of our RoTR boarding time and had them replaced when we got to MK with a ride anytime same day FP when we got there, Mine Train was also down and that was repalced with a ride anytime FP when we got there. Made those last 3 hours...

If you want the TLDR version, 110% worth getting up and in by 7AM, the queue, and ride experience are insane, piece of cake getting a boarding group. Left BW @ 6:15 drove over, no bags for our group of four, through the turnstiles and in the park by 6:35, sat at tables outside of Brown Derby...

***Official*** Pandora: The World of Avatar Information Thread

Our trip is next week Sat to Thurs, we dropped the ball on the FP window and I for one am definitely not rope drop material, getting up 5AM every day to catch a train had me looking forward to some ZZZZZZ. Make me feel better about the pre-park close strategy for Pandora FOP, are we talking...

Your opinion: Rent a car or take the buses?

No worries, it's a drop in the bucket and it's prob an 6 yr old tip from these boards, either way we are riding a monorail, ttc or resort.

Your opinion: Rent a car or take the buses?

I totally get ppl trying to save money by not renting a car but if anyone actually ran the numbers/costs of airfare, tickets, dvc costs/hotel, food, etc and figure out what the cost is for a week at WDW, figure it by the hour, times 5 to 10 hours of bus time, you'd be losing money on your stay.

Your opinion: Rent a car or take the buses?

Driving to MK a logistical nightmare? Not when you park at Poly for "breakfast, lunch, or dinner" then hop the monorail. Work the system or it works you, for what the overall magical experience costs, value runs deep for every second not spent on a bus,at a stop, or multiple other drop offs that...

Your opinion: Rent a car or take the buses?

After spending thousands on park tickets, why waste a minute of your time on a bus ? Your time is worth something no...? Do the math, over a span of 7 days you have to spend min 20 hours riding buses vs sitting at the pool, kicking back, relaxing, or do anything else you would rather be doing...

Restaurant that you think is a hidden Gem

Breakfast at Captains Grille, we bailed on our reservation at Kona last trip as we were beat, staying at the BC and didn't feel like trekking over to Poly, the family had a nice buffet selection the morning we went and I opted to order ala carte and get their dark chocolate waffles for a nice...

    Most Overrated Restaurants

Q4T There are exceptions but for the most part we are talking mass produced food here that is average at best across the board and for the top tier Disney Dining experiences like California Grill, Le Cellier, etc you'd be paying an average of 20-30% less for this experience elsewhere. Our last...

Magic Bands AKA MEH-GIC Bands 2/4 - 2/9 BC Trip Report a Mehtastic Journey

We are DVC members not AP holders, I'm not 100% sure why this happened but our magic bands were not sent to us prior to the trip, we got them upon arrival, maybe because we bought our park tix at AAA? You like us should be going at a low time, it was a little overwhelming arriving and getting a...
