The Official VILLAS at DISNEYLAND HOTEL (Discovery Tower) Owners and Fans Info Thread

Not necessarily cool with it-but it’s been a year of talking it to death so I think most of us have processed and moved on. Back to programming…Made a booking here for August in a studio and I’m excited! We own at VGC but this is more of a last minute so weren’t getting in there. Four nights...

The tax is clearly mentioned when you book on the DVC site-I don’t own there but just booked and it shows right there.

    *August 2024 Check-in Thread*

So-somewhat tentatively-count us in. We used DVC points to grab a studio at VDH from the 26-30. My 14 year old son finally has a chance to bring a friend-his older sisters have done that several times-and now that he decided not to play football because he doesn’t have “generational talent” 😂😂😂...

Passed 2/8! I was almost hoping it wouldn’t pass after seeing some of the loaded ones pop up, but they weren’t in our use year. Excited to be able to give my daughter a Hawaii honeymoon next year if they want :).

Recommendations needed for countertops that won’t stain

I’ll add our contractor had the same reservations-he just wasn’t familiar with it and that’s what he had heard-but he told us a year or so ago that he’s sold now.

Recommendations needed for countertops that won’t stain

It can. Typically, the lighter it is, the softer it is. Small scratches buff out. We have had it four years now and we are HARD on our kitchen-three kids, we’re a messy family, and have lots of people in our house frequently-and it looks like new. Recommend without hesitation.

100% soapstone. We are so glad we did it-it’s absolutely bombproof and we think it’s gorgeous.

The Official VILLAS at DISNEYLAND HOTEL (Discovery Tower) Owners and Fans Info Thread

I’ve done a week at the HoJo before with two kids and was ready for more. Would I do it in a duo studio? Probably not but I’ve never been in one and always have more than two people with me. And with Uber and Lyft it’s easy to do a lot else if you don’t rent a car-we do on some trips and others...

The Official VILLAS at DISNEYLAND HOTEL (Discovery Tower) Owners and Fans Info Thread

I could totally spend 10 days at Disneyland, especially staying DVC. Wander in for the morning, just ride a couple rides and soak up atmosphere, do other things for part of the day. It sounds heavenly.

Class of 2024 (and beyond) parents - any questions?

Just jumping in to say my senior got her first acceptance today! She really wants to go out of state and have a big campus experience-both of which I totally support. We will see how the money works out. this school is part of the Western States Tuition Exchange-would actually be cheaper than...

Would you take an immunocompromised 4 year old to Japan?

My son is on a biologic immune suppressing med. the only vaccine he hasn’t been able to take is the live chicken pox vax. When he’s healthy I wouldn’t hesitate to travel to other countries with good health care systems-we did Italy last year and his Boy Scout troop was in Switzerland this year...

The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 2.0

The coming soon offer is out-discussed on Len Testa’s Disney Dish this week (meaning details are out, not that you can buy it yet I think)-$50 ish a day for child tickets.

Anyone else staggered by ticket prices?

You can stay at one of their three nice hotels and get unlimited express pass-and the hotels can be very reasonable. And last time we bought 3 day tickets we were able to upgrade them to 15 month seasonal APs for $30 more. Can’t do that at Disney.
