Unless there have been changes again, you could not buy a fixed week that totaled less than 150 points ( total required for membership benefits). Has the number for benefits dropped? Last I inquired I could not purchase my same FW. It was not available as it didn’t meet the required 150 point...

Yes I purchased my second week in Dec week 49 at Copper Creek. The points chart at the time was 107, we paid the 10% premium and the FW sold at 118 points. Now this week can not even be sold as a FW because DVC won’t sell weeks under 150 points on the point chart. A steal I say!!

So I charge a set amount. Some sites want the number of points listed and price per point. I use the points chart listed ( which for my week now is 114 up from the original 107) and use a ppp for those rental sites requesting that. But usually I just request a set amount. I have never had an...

We did just that. Bought second week in December for rental purposes when we don’t use our points. Who knew how hard that week would be to book? We actually like going this time of year as well. Lots to think about for sure.

How is this different than the original FW purchase requirements? Is it just rewording? can you post this different favorite week chart?

I’m a little confused. When I purchased my FW I paid for 10% amount in points from the point chart. It has worked out great as the points chart has increased over the years. If the points chart exceeds my premium paid, I am good and don’t incur any extra costs no matter what the points chart...

Their statement does little to change anything other than that Chang made the statement. Too many outliers to mean this is a slam dunk, part of Poly 1 with no restrictions or no possibility of it being part of the trust. So glad you got some acknowledgment but changes little.

I also did not mention ever increasing the points charts with each new resort. DVC members received discounts on a few of the things I mentioned, but have slowly eroded those discounts. Disney Vacation Club model is eroding before our eyes. The Trust concept will will bring a finality to it...

Exactly. DVD has been degrading our current membership for years. Still have not totally eliminated the park pass system. Annual pass changes. Resale restrictions. Constantly changing minimum points required for membership benefits. Degrading the Dining Plan. Vanilla resort refurbishment. I’m...

I don’t see all of this work to create a Trust to only include CFW. Poly2 will be the indicator if any other DVC resorts get added to the Trust. No reason they would exclude Poly2 if the Trust is to include other deluxe resorts.

If Poly2 becomes a separate association there will be no legal implications IMO.

I’m not sure how well the popularity would be for Poly1 with no 11 mos access to Poly2. My guess is they drop dramatically, similar the VGF.

So I’ll throw out another scenario…. what happens to PVB1 resale prices if Poly2 is declared into the Trust? After the flub by Chang in December, Poly 1 resales have been moving pretty good, prices slightly increasing. Do we see a deep dive in those resale prices if Poly2 goes into the Trust?

So Sandy in your best guesstimate do you feel the new Poly2 will be sold as both deeded and trust points? Deeded FW’s?
