    South Lake Tahoe with kids?

We lived in South Lake Tahoe for years. Both of our girls were born there. October is an awesome time of year at the lake! The weather is still usually wonderful, but the summer crowds are gone. Some of our favorites activities with kids... Oktoberfest at Camp Rich - Lots of fun to be had (face...

What are your top two off site hotels?

I totally agree with this. We had huge problems with Ramada Maingate. Noisy, dirty, double charged us, charged us for a roll away that was never used, and breakfast was terrible (and we don't have ingredient issues it was just gross). The pool was closed during our stay (unexpectedly without...

    Rainforest Reservations

During the off season, the wait usually isn't too bad. Especially if you plan on dining at slightly off times.

    Choir Trip - suggestions needed

Ok guys, I need your help! We are taking our high school choir to Disney. 75-100 kids plus staff and chaperones. party: We will be utilizing the educational programs, but not performing. Probably three days, two nights. Hotel is the aspect I'm stuck on. I get the fun of planning the...

Is this a doable plan? (Again)

Totally doable, especially by yourself. Kids in tow are what slows you down. Lol. You should be able to accomplish most everything twice, especially if you start at DCA two mornings. One for RSR and one for TSMM. Enjoy your trip!

    Private build a bear sessions

We did this years ago. It was totally worth it. No long lines, essentially one on one service, and we used every coupon we could find! 6,7,8 years later? We still have these bears and their outfits.

Wow! Hojos is more $ than PPH

I agree. We haven't been back since they changed how they discount rooms. It's more hassle than I am willing to endure. My kids are beyond the pool area, there isn't a breakfast, or a dedicated shuttle. We will gladly go to Candy Cane Inn and spend less per night and get more amenities for our...

Hep me figure out the details of our trip :)

To get FPs, all tickets must be activated in that park. Also, keep in mind only the adults and maybe the 6 yo will be able to ride RSR. So you will need to do baby swap. IMO, It seems like a large part of your three days is dedicated to Carsland. Which is fine, but I don't think you will be able...

Candy Cane Inn?? Yea or Nay??

One of the best Harbor properties. Dedicated shuttle, expanded breakfast, great staff, clean property, restaurants up and down Harbor.

    April park hours

I mis posted. We are they April 7-11. The 7th is the only day we get the longer hours and DL night time entertainment. It's fine. We will do fireworks and the late F! On Sunday and plan to hit the pool or go see a movie or enjoy the DTD music offerings with ice cream cones in hand during the...

    April park hours

We are visiting during our school district's Spring Break (April 4-11 are our travel dates). I was surprised to find the shorter hours and lack of entertainment during a Spring Break week. Sunday the 7th is the only day the park is on a full operating schedule with Fireworks and F!. Silly me...

    Tipping question for self-serve places

You make a very good point. When the credit card receipt doesn't have a tip line, then one of two things is true. Either their business type is not eligible for tips to be added by Visa and MC rules or they are but the owner has disabled that feature. In either case, I would take that as an...

What do you do with your Animation Academy Artwork!

We have hole punched them, added front and back covers and used metal hinged rings to hold it all together. We can add to it each trip! It's usually a coffee table book. The girls' friends especially love to look through it when they come over.

    What would you do?

I would do three days, while your friend is working. The middle day I would rent the cheapest walking distance hotel, not so much for the night but for the mid day break on your long day and parking days two and three. Best of both worlds and more leisurely.

    Paradise Pier Pool Closure

I don't know about that, but you can make the best of it... Ask to utilize the GCH's pool and pack your suits into the parks. When you need a break from the afternoon crowds especially from DCA, go thru their exit and you are practically at the pool. There are bathrooms to change in (both...

    Anaheim Plaza Inn vs BWPPI

Anaheim Plaza is our go to accommodation as well. Especially when it was $59/night year round. We have stayed dozens of nights and never really had a bad experience. We did have one stay, during a heat wave (100+) no less, that the air conditioner didn't work consistently. I know it was a...

Walk from Stovall's to DL-Alert to change

That is why many of us believe that it was a special event or circumstance that caused them to check on that particular day. What real reason would they have for doing this daily? The resorts are seeing rooms booked at near capacity regularly, the labor costs would be prohibitive and Disney...

    Fastpasses

Nope. Their passes have to be activated by them entering the parks for the day before you will be able to use them to get fast passes.
