We leave in about 3 weeks!!! We're taking our DD and SIL for their honeymoon. This will be his first trip!

    Rivers of light wheelchair/ECV access

We will be traveling with our two children with Down syndrome, one of whom will be in a SN stroller, and the other will be in a regular stroller which we'll get a wheelchair pass for. Both are mobile and can transfer out of the strollers for attractions: they need them for safety reasons (DSDs...

    TSM & Soarin closure timeframe?

:yo-yo:I guess I'll just have to keep stalking. I like to plan at least a year out. We normally stay 11 days, so the 3-4 day quick closures don't really affect our plans. Oh, the waiting!!!:hourglass

    TSM & Soarin closure timeframe?

Any idea when TSM and Soarin' will close as part of the refurb/expansion? I know the current Soarin' theaters are getting new screens before the expansion is complete. And I'm assuming TSM will have to go offline at some point as well, but I haven't seen any announcements about when either will...

    Pizza for first night

We liked AoA's pizza! Sauce was flavorful, cheese was gooey, crust was not too thin, not too thick. We stuck to pepperoni. It wasn't a "pizza experience," but we enjoyed it!

    Garden Grocer/Wegoshop Deliveries Question

WailMart delivers to WDW resorts? Wow! We'll be at AKV April 28-May 3, and I'm starting to plan out our grocery needs. I don't love WM, but if it's that cheaper alternative then I'll use them.

Putting one of our kids on our friends' room ressie-- problematic?

It will matter for EMH entry. And now that everything is coded on the RFID bracelets, I don't want any unforeseen complications.

Which deluxe resort? Planning next trip...

We use David's DVC Rentals (website is DVCrequest) to rent points for DVC stays. Much cheaper than booking through WDW reservations. We stayed at VWL on our last trip and LOVED it! Loved having the boat transportation to FW and MK. Loved everything about the resort, and having 2BDR, full...

Putting one of our kids on our friends' room ressie-- problematic?

Trying to decide between suite & connecting rooms at AoA for April! :) We have 7 people (me & hubs + 5 kids), and we're traveling with friends who will have 5 people in a family suite. We're considering booking a suite with 6 of us on it, and putting one of our kiddos on our friends' room...

how long to plan for travel to parks?

It depends. I highly recommend The Unofficial Guide to WDW, which has (among a bazillion other cool things:cool2:) a spreadsheet of how long it takes to travel from each resort to each park. Depending on which resort you're staying at, it generally takes between about 20-40 minutes to travel...

    DVC rental

Is there still a DVC rental forum on the Dis? I've suggested to a friend that she rent points for a DVC, but I can't find the rental forum. I looked under the DVC, but those all looked like forums specifically for members only, but I haven't had caffeine yet, so I could have missed something...

Break from Magic Kingdom for dinner

Love taking the boat to WL. We also went to Poly one night, got CS and ate on the beach.

    What is the best resort?

I would rent points from Dave's DVC rentals and go for a villa at WL. You'll have plenty of room, and with rented points I think you'll pay less than a room at Poly. You don't have monorail, BUT you have the ferry to MK, and from MK you can hop the monorail and go have lunch on the Poly beach if...

    the matching t shirt things

We did matching shirts last time, and we'll do them again on our spring 2013 trip. Not exactly the same shirt for everyone, but the same color at least. It makes it SO easy to spot your group if you split up or get separated.

What was your most disappointing ride?

I really like Kali! It's not about the thrill as much as the experience, though. The queuing area is so detailed, and the ride itself is lovely. If you go on it just waiting to get wet & watching the water like at similar rides at the Six Flags parks, I can totally see how it would be boring...

Whispering Canyon Cafe and Wilderness Lodge

The boat from MK to WL is MUCH faster than the bus! And it's so much more fun:goodvibes--- the waterway actually goes over the roadway below at one point! We really loved the campfire singalong at FW. We took the boat over from WL. We were there in early May, and they started selling s'mores...

    Be Our Guest-- Character Dining?

AH-- that's right! I forgot about Belle's cottage. So true. And animatronic would be cool. That makes much more sense. Thanks!
