****The Official June 2015 thread!!! We're finally going to WDW***

Well, we did something a little crazy. Woke up this morning and said, "We should go to Disney." We made a few online reservations, packed our bags, and are leaving in the morning. I know it's going to be hot and I know it's going to be crowded, but I do not care. We've been enough times now...

Crowd Predictions May/June vs. School Makeup Days

I've seen that the crowd levels are predicted to be pretty high for the end of May or early June. I'm wondering if a lot of schools will have makeup days during these weeks due to the winter weather, thus lightening the crowds. I'm in south MS, so we didn't miss any days, but I'm curious to...

Disney Visa - When Do Reward Dollars Go Through?

I recently charged my trip on my card and am now waiting for my reward dollars to show up. Does anyone know when the rewards go through - like a certain time of the month? Or do they go through as I pay off my card? Please and thank you!

Question about my kids and rides

I've traveled with a 3-year old and a 4-year old, one who was a daredevil and one not so much. At MK, I would start with Fantasyland for your little ones to see what they like. Jungle Cruise and Buzz Lightyear are good stops, too. I would then try them out on the Barnstormer and then BTMRR if...

***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

Just booked our trip for October 14-19! We'll be staying at Pop! Century. Haven't stayed there in ages, but it felt like time for something new. Also MNSSHP and F&W are new for us. We're so excited! And, no dining plan. I'm a little nervous about this, but it wasn't free and I felt like...

Pre-Trip Plans Done? Give the moderator a PM. Will move to TR or Close it.

Hi, I've been searching for an answer to this question and cannot seem to find it. I started a trip report for my last vacation but did not finish it. It is now closed (I'm guessing because I didn't update for so long). Is there any way for me to reopen it so I can finish? Thank you!

    "I can't handle this!" A June 2011 Trip Report

I would love to begin this report by saying that our first day went smoothly and uneventfully, with an easy departure, a drive that felt much shorter than it actually was, and a relaxing arrival. Unfortunately, that is not the case. We got to my sister-in-law’s house the evening before we...

    "I can't handle this!" A June 2011 Trip Report

Thanks for joining! The title will be explained a few days in. And while Josie did ask nicely for the trip, there were plenty of times that she demanded things! Welcome!

    "I can't handle this!" A June 2011 Trip Report

Introductions What lies in these pages is a tale of bravery, a tale of triumph, a tale of derring-do that will you leave you breathless. They said it couldn’t be done, but done it was. What follows is not for the faint of spirit, but if there be daring and courage in your hearts, dear...

    Good Snacks for the Parks

Thank you all so much! I'll definitely get some of the little containers and snack size Ziploc. And I'd never thought of freezing Capri Sun for the parks...that sounds perfect. Thanks again!

    Good Snacks for the Parks

Hi! We are taking my niece (4) on a trip to Disney in a couple of weeks. We are doing the QSDP, which means 2 snacks a day for her, but I'm not sure that will be enough. She's a grazer and likes to eat a little bit here and there. I'd like to pack some snacks for her in our bag to avoid...

QS or DP?? HELP ME DECIDE

While I love Disney sit-downs, the QS is great because of the flexibility. We enjoyed getting to eat when we were actually hungry when we did it. As for being sneaky and getting your son's opinion, could you say you have a friend (on the Disboards) who is taking their kid his age? You could...

How long do you usually stay?

We've done anywhere from 4 nights (way too short) to over 10 days (sometimes too long). Our latest trip will be 6 days / 6 nights. I'm thinking it might feel a little short, but with a 4-year old in tow, I didn't want to push it.

Tips for making the Dining Plan stretch to all 3 meals?

We've done both the regular plan and the QSDP a few times and find that we can stretch both out without having to spend hardly any extra money. We often use our snack to get a pastry for breakfast...if you're big breakfast eaters, this may not work for you. There are also several places that...
