The last two December trips, I literally checked in while sitting at Midway airport at 5am on arrival day. Both of those trips, our room was ready when we arrived at 10am....coincidence? You can be sure that this December, I'll do the same thing at 5am from Midway:).

It's definitely the case for the BWI Club Level. We were there last December and we're 6 days away from arrival! We've become used to the chef so very curious how things will be this time without a chef.

Same with us....I wasn't able to get a reservation...and even used the touring plans reservation finder..but now I'm not too unhappy that we're not gonna be able to go this year.

It may depend on if it's bottles or cans. I of course always wanted what was in bottles....so they said they had to be opened. Hope they have good beer in cans in a few weeks:).

Someone posted a while back that it was still a good experience, even without the chef. We're long time BWI CL fans and were disappointed to read the chef was gone but from what I've read on these boards and on FB, it's still a stellar experience.

No, I'm not a little behind in the news. My assumption was that the OP was referencing room refurbishment..which isn't really scheduled until next year.....though God knows, the rooms need it. So...based on the general info, they may hear a little somethin' somethin'.

What renovations? At the Boardwalk? There have been no dates announced...and there certainly isn't anything scheduled for 2022.

Tipping is NOT the protocol. There have been quite a few threads about this. If a CM is offered a tip, they are supposed to refuse 3 times....if it's insisted upon, they have to put it somewhere where it's shared by everyone. There is no reason to tip....you're paying a big "surcharge" for a...

There are only 10 Deluxe rooms, club level. 5 on the 3rd floor and 5 on the 4th floor. They all have balconies with direct views of the Boardwalk.

I received a call from SS early this week too for a December 1 arrival. She said they start making calls 80 days out..and it was 80 days out! I did read somewhere that the BWI chef is gone but the food being brought in is good. Apparently it was deemed a fire hazard to be cooking in the CL...

Recently bwi dropped their chef.......????? When did that happen? Is it permanent? That's the best part of their CL!

Personally? We live out of my suitcases. I'd assume that drawers aren't likely to get much attention from the cleaning crew.

THIS! I too don't mind the afternoon snacks...very simple to take to the pool and of course the plane ride home. I "may" have grabbed some candy every afternoon that somehow ended up in my luggage........:).

Love the Deluxe CL rooms at the BWI! There are 5 rooms on the 3rd floor and 5 on the 4th floor. Best views of the Boardwalk! In theory, the 3rd floor balconies might be a tiny bit bigger that the 4th floor balconies but either floor, you'll love the rooms and the views.

Hence the..."in theory". Your mileage may vary:).
