Epoct World Showcase: Are Cast Members from the various countries back?

Yup, the 3rd party are a different beast. But I do know of other specific examples where CMs transferred out of the international program to work in other areas after their year was up. Although I can't believe that the 3rd parties aren't subject to the same visa requirements as those...

Epoct World Showcase: Are Cast Members from the various countries back?

If I remember correctly, the program that WDW used to bring over the international cast members had a time limit on how long they could work in the pavilions. Partially due to legal requirements around visas, and partially to ensure that the CMs working were "authentic". At the end of their...

Mobile ordering with multiple food allergies/covid

They should still have at least one CM at a register, you may find it hard to believe, but not everyone has a smart phone, so they do still have a way for those who do not to order. Or to simply assist those who are having issues using the app. Obviously the app is the preferred less/no...

Think non-expiration tickets will make a comeback?

There is no reason NOT to buy with the current tickets. Even though the ticket "expires" on such and such a date, Disney will credit that value you paid towards another ticket if you are unable to use it. It causes havoc on the books for the accounting team. The same reason why stores...

The Future of Fingerprint-Biometric Scanners at the Disney Parks

SDL does photos of everyone as they enter the park. And the CM at the turnstile needs to verify ID as well. (At least tourists have to present passports, no idea what the residents show). They then take it one step further, and compare that photo everytime you go to use a FP.

Wondering if WDW will open before Shanghai Disney?

I believe that SDR's version of Downtown Disney reopened a while ago. Haven't heard how much is open, but they at least started. Stores are much easier to re-open and maintain social distancing and such than theme parks are. RE FL beaches, the FL governor was slow to close things, so not...

    Lifespan of Magic Bands

Still supposed to be about 2 years for long range sensors (IE those on the rides). The short range sensors (tap stands and payment locations) should work indefinitely.

Question regarding extension for AP renewal

This is correct. But the OP already had their AP expire prior to the closing, they were inquiring about the renewal dates. So in theory they would be able to renew whenever the parks re-open, unless Disney changes renewals to be 1 year from the renewal date (to accommodate the closures) it may...

Florida Resident tickets - Not allowed to purchase with statements?

Because a bank statement or similar shows that you actually are at that location for at least part of the year. The deed simply shows that you own property. You could own property in all 50 states, and rent out the ones in the 49 states you don't live in. While you own property there, you...

My Disney Experience App...all use the same account?

They don't technically need their own accounts. However, do you trust Billy/your DS with YOUR account? By having them log in on their device, they can cancel/change anything on your profile. This may or may not be a big deal. Was Billy set up as a "managed by you" profile? If so, that may...

    Custom Magicband - Name Inside

Remember that you can swap the pucks. So unless it's a LE band that has special effects at tapstiles and that is what you really want, just get your next complimentary one from a resort stay in the same (or complimentary color) and swap out the puck. Other than making it easier to identify...

Best order for family to link reservation, tix, My Disney Experience?

Every adult having their own account simplifies future trips. Then they can re-use their existing band if they want, and go from there. BUT, you can manage them yourself. As long as you made the bookings, you should be able to create "Managed by" accounts for each of them, and then you do it...

...What did you end up doing with your lightsabers once you got home?

TSA actually has a page just for light sabers. https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/light-saber They are allowed as carryon luggage.

    DHS entertainment changes

But they were originally pushing it as having CMs just roaming in character. Not you just talking with CMs working shops, guest assistance, food service, etc. Read the article here ->...

    DHS entertainment changes

I think its more a large lack based on what was initially promised. Droids were supposed to be wandering around the land, there was supposed to be constant interaction with residents, not just a few scattered appearances. I believe that the land (not sure if it was East, West or both) has lots...

    Photo pass question

If absolutely none of the pictures are there, definitely stop by one of the desks at the parks, and have them take a look. If it's only one or two that are missing, then stopping can't hurt, but you would also probablly luck out by just waiting a little more, or using the online form.

    Splash Mountain Play Area??

Everytime I'm walked by this it is very very crowded. It's not big, so it seems like it has even more kids climbing on it than are really there.

Have you ever been able to get a 4th Fastpass?

It works. After you use the 3, you can search for another. If anything is available, you should be able to get it. I've gotten 7 or 8 in a day at MK, and could have gotten more if we wanted.

    Do park ticket prices fluctuate?

The posted prices are the prices tickets will be until they post new prices. They don't shift on demand, they are already at the prices that WDW wants them to be based on their anticipated demand. As long as you can take the hit to buy tickets at the drop of a hat in case price increases get...
