    Marri's is the best!

    July 4th flights?

Right. We once did an international flight to Japan on (US) Thanksgiving day. The flight was wonderfully empty. IIRC, though, prices weren't much different than surrounding days.

    Napa Rose Menu

I just booked Napa Rose for dinner in October via the Disneyland Dining page, without even looking at the menu. So now I've looked at the menu, and it just shows menu items with no prices. It almost looks like what you'd expect for a prix fixe menu, though no mention of that, or its price...

    BLUE BAYOU RESERVATIONS OPEN!

I just looked via this link and there appears to be nothing available at any time. Since I'm not going within 60 days, I haven't tried calling. For the BB Fantasmic package, does it include all entrees from the main menu?

October 17-22 vs Oct 5-10, crowd levels?

Thank you, everyone! While free accommodations sounds nice, it may not be worth the price. I'll discuss this with my friend and recommend that we keep our original dates and hotel reservations.

October 17-22 vs Oct 5-10, crowd levels?

My wife, myself, and a friend were planning to go to DLR Oct 17-22. Got reservations at Embassy Suites. Our friend and I both have birthdays in mid- to late- October, so we were planning a birthday trip. She (the friend) belongs to a house exchange network, and a house just came up for Oct...

Favorite Harbor Hotel excluding pools and why?

Yes, it is interesting to compare experiences. We stayed at the Hyatt House Convention Center just a couple of weeks ago. We had a wonderful experience -- very clean and quiet. OTOH, we stayed at the Clarion, more years ago than I care to think about. Your description of the noise...

How hard is it to find a table near a CS restaurant?

Only place we tried was Plaza Inn in DLR, on 5/24. We mobile-ordered for a noon pickup. The tables were pretty crowded, but there were several indoor tables to choose from. All the outdoor tables were full.

Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

Thank you for that (I'm the poster who failed). I understand that now. I was misled by the posts of the spreadsheet, that showed that the BGs lasted for a minimum of 15 seconds. Seriously misleading. So I appreciate all the pointers, even though, at this point, we won't go back until the...

    Impressions from 5/27 - cancelling June 12

We went Monday 5/24, and agree with most of what you wrote. For me, I found it to be very crowded. Not the worst I've ever seen, but much more crowded than I expected even a normal Monday to be, let alone a "reduced capacity" Monday. Of course, we haven't been to DLR for several years, ever...

What time are the parks ACTUALLY opening?

We went Monday 5/24. Got in line at about 8:30. Going through temp-check line, security, and entrance gate took about 1/2 hour total.

Fairfield Inn - new parking rule?

We stayed at Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort this past Monday, 5/24. It's at the corner of Harbor/Katella. Checked in at 8am - room not ready yet, but they gave us a parking pass. Just paid one night parking, and our car was there 26 hours. Don't know about parking after checkout, as we...

Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

Yes, 7:00:01. I would assume that at 6:59:59 you would error out for being too soon? Is that not correct? And the spreadsheet that a PP posted said the BGs ran out at 15 seconds past the hour. So I still don't understand why I didn't get one at 7:00:01? Can anyone explain?

Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

We were there this past Monday, 5/24. Never been on ROtR before. I don't know what I did wrong, other than the fact that I didn't practice like some of you did. Otherwise, I followed the directions exactly. I clicked "Join Boarding Group" when time.gov said it was one second past 7 am...

Newb type questions - sorry, haven't been to DLR since before ROR. Page 1 of this thread says you have to be in Disneyland to sign up. I take it that's changed, since the BGs open at 7 and DLR opens at 9? We'll be in Carlsbad the day before, and drive up in the AM. I'll have to stay at our...

Story about first time visits to Disneyland

My first trip was also 1960, so I would have been 8. Went again with the family a year or two later, so I tend to mix up memories. Things I remember -- Standing in the line that wrapped around the Matterhorn for 2 hours(!) with my brother, who's a year older. We thought it was worth it...

June 15 looking better and better for California to "Open Up"

Gov Newsom was present at the April 24 ribbon-cutting ceremony for reopening Highway 1 through Big Sur. Our local TV news reporter took the opportunity to ask Newsom whether CA is still on track for reopening the state on June 15. His short answer: "We are." It's at about the 3:00 minute...

    BEST 1ST ATTRACTION?

I agree with the left turn into Adventureland, but I'd go Indy, HM, and Pirates. Jungle Cruise can wait, IMO.

    Disneyland Reopening Speculation Superthread

Hmm, it shows Pirates, as well as HM and IJ. Yay, 3 of my favorite rides. Yet their dining page doesn't allow you to make reservations for Blue Bayou. This despite the announcement that BB will serve alcohol. Just a matter of the web site not fully updated? Or will the restaurant actually...
