finding late night food and drink

For Disney Springs you could use Disney transportation (bus) both ways -- but ride share could be quicker. For the others, I'd say in terms of getting back to your resort at the end of the night, you're probably stuck with ride share. Depending on when you head out, you could get creative and...

finding late night food and drink

I believe the establishment open the latest on property is Jellyrolls, a piano bar at the Boardwalk. It's open til 1:45am currently (could vary by season). I will caution, however, that the only food is popcorn and the drinks are nothing special. But the atmosphere and sing-alongs can be...

2024 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Information and Planning Thread

The July starts began post-pandemic. Even then, there were still some booths that didn't open until later in the festival. I'd imagine it just wasn't profitable for them / didn't entice enough people to book a trip in and of itself / people weren't spending enough money. I think most locals...

2024 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Information and Planning Thread

The kitchen timer is adorable although I usually just ask Siri or Alexa to set a timer, so I doubt I'd use it (but when has that stopped me from purchasing something cute ). Really love the cutting board behind the measuring bowls.

    Yachtsman Steakhouse or Narcoses?

I enjoy both. I am generally lazy on vacation (not to mention tired after all the walking we typically do) so based purely on location I'd pick Yachtsman (or something in the Swan/Dolphin) for the ease of being able to walk there and back. Oh and their pull apart onion rolls are a reason to...

2024 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Information and Planning Thread

Thanks for setting this up! Very much looking forward to seeing what "fresh new elements" Communicore Hall brings to the festival this year. Fingers crossed we'll see demos, tastings, specialty meals, Party for the Senses and more this year!! Now, with a later start, when do we suppose we'll...

2023 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Information and Planning Thread

I agree. Not to mention that July/August it's likely 100 degrees in the shade, frequent thunderstorms, probably miserable for the cast members inside the kitchen, and as a guest it's hard to get excited about walking around in that heat and grabbing cheddar cheese soup, raclette cheese, bouef...

2023 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival Information and Planning Thread

2024 dates were announced! August 29 - Nov 23 (Thanksgiving is 11/28). The announcement says that Communicore Hall will add "exciting fresh elements." Really hoping demos and wine tastings will return. Not to mention a general festival center...

BC proximity to EP realistic in August?

Definitely would take walk to IG over walk from buses at front of park in the worst of heat or rain or anything else. Take a look at the resort map ... you don't have to exit to the outside at the main lobby. You can follow interior (air-conditioned) hallways all the way to the end of the...

You Get a Suite! You Get a Suite! Everybody Gets a Suite! December 2023 Trip Report! (RL Update 4/21 x3!)

Well, first your dog is beyond adorable. paw: Second, what a fun mini vacation at home. The idea of having so many fun things within walking distance sounds so delightful to me. How clever to design yourself a 10K around the area! All your meals look and sound delicious. I LOVE a good...

Oh, how I love that wild boar. I think it may be my favorite bite on property but agree Jiko takes some effort to get to if not staying there and particularly if relying on Disney transportation. I also enjoy the sustainable fish. And the giraffe bread!! I like that they change the menu up...

    Easter Week Reviews

Your daughter looks so happy eating her tacos! I agree with you on the restaurant. The general atmosphere is amazing. The tables being almost on top of each other is not. The food seems to be inconsistent. But give me a margarita and some guac and I'm a happy gal.

    Dining Review - March 2024

Fun wrap-up. I agree that the new(ish) 2-hour cancelation policy has opened up a lot of opportunities. For sure I'd still recommend booking must-do's at 60-days out but, if you're flexible, there's so much available day-of. Trattoria Al Forno ranking so high has me definitely resolving to try...

Solo dining experience - Topolino's dinner?

I wouldn't hesitate! Enjoy!! You can also order from the full menu at the bar if you prefer that to a table.

    Dining Review - March 2024

You have me craving those filet sliders. Sitting out at the dockside bar and having those with some fries is just perfection. Really love the 2-hour cancellation policy - it allows so much more flexibility. Boathouse will do the lobster roll "Connecticut style" (hot with butter) if you'd...

For some reason I always forget about Trattoria Al Forno. Will need to give it a try next time. Love that fish dish at Narcoossee's .... so delicious!

    Dining Review - March 2024

So happy to see another dining report from you! I'm also a big fan of the pre-dinner relaxing cocktail ... what a bummer to be rushed at Narcoossee's and Flying Fish. Both are fantastic though and you ordered my faves - the blackened redfish and the sea bass. So glad you were able to get to...

More ideas. The new restaurants over at the Conrad are supposed to be amazing. The "pool bar" - Papaya Club - has some really unique tiki mugs and their rooftop restaurant - Ceiba - is Mexican fine dining. Or I know you like Wine Bar George ... maybe splurge on some of the more rare/exotic...

Birthday ideas: Spa day at Grand Floridian or Dolphin or Four Seasons? Special dinner at Bull & Bear (Waldorf Astoria) or Capa (Four Seasons)? Evening safari plus dinner at Jiko - forget what it's called. Tequila tasting at La Cava. Wild Africa Trek? Amphicar ride at Boathouse? If on a...
