Treats and Seats - any help appreciated!

Yes...you can start booking 60 days from when you check in and as well for the rest of your trip at the same time, up to 10 days. So the 31st would be 60 (+5), and I would think you would be able to grab a reservation for the dessert party (although nothing is certain). This booking method is...

Are the cabins worth the extra price?

My family and I are hoping to finally make it back to Disney this fall. Right now we have a reservation at POP but are thinking about switching to two cabins are Fort Wilderness. What are some of the advantages of Fort Wilderness and do you think it is worth the extra cost? (I would cost...

Do you keep a "funeral outfit" on hand?

We have dress clothes but not funeral specific. For us most of the guys don't wear suits (just a nice shirt, tie, and pants..not a jacket) and I have never worn black so I just wear one of my nice dresses or skirts. Also sorry for your loss. 🙏

Has anyone had “just a cold” since Covid has been in the US?

I had a cold. Productive cough and congestion. It lasted 7-10 days, so I wasn't concerned about COVID at all.

I would like to see a restaurant that showcases cruise from all parts of India.

    Am I worrying too much?

I have read most of the replies and I agree you need to do what you fee comfortable with but are you prepared to not see your grandchildren for several months. As parent I would respect your decision but I would not be happy if you still wanted to hang out on the weekend with them especially if...

    October crew checking in

We are still planning our October trip. This was a short trip that was focused all on rides,, mostly roller coasters, so missing the fireworks, characters, and parades aren't a deal breaker. My family isn't a fan of HEA but are hoping Fantasmic! can come back. Also, the parades would be nice...

    Easter this year

Ours will about the same as normal. Easter baskets and egg hunt (probably indoor because it is supposed only be 32F outside). We will make our normal meal and deliver to our neighbor and maybe family friend (just set the meal outside...no contact), instead of having them over to the house...

    Strange question regarding mil

I do things with my MIL as often as I can without my DH (we live pretty far away so time is limited.). When we lived closer we would go shopping, and out to eat. We still try to do things together. We have a great relationship.

How Often Do You Replace Your Dishes?

I have seasonal dishes. So I rotate mine three times a year. I have added pieces over the years but never replaced anything. I am expected to need to replace some as the kiddos get older.

middle school dance -- girls can't turn down a guy who asks them

I agree the girls should be able to say no to being asked to a dance or whatever in a social setting. In terms of an actual class, my experience in school, was we learned dance in PE both swing and square dancing (I believe); however, you had a choice between dance class or another PE base...

    S/O HOA Communities

Yeah, I know. They also shovel the sidewalks and driveways in winter and maintain the flowers and trees out front in spring and summer...lol. We were also surprised by that when we bought the house.

    Communities with an HOA

Sorry...I live in an HOA and I say I would ignore it. We lived next door to people who had a commercial business and I would never have dreamed of reporting them to the HOA. If the HOA wants to deal with it then they can but the complaint wouldn't have come from me. I get that its against...

    S/O HOA Communities

I few years ago I would have said no about living with an HOA. However, with the cost of living where I am it was cheaper and easier to build a house than buy an "used" house, so we ended up getting an HOA. Ours is a little different because the city maintains our front lawn and our HOA fees...

To recline or not to recline...

I personally don't care either way about reclining seats but I travel with two toddlers a few times a year so everyone already hates us...lol Also, to add with people sleeping/reclining I am sure people thought my husband was a jerk for not moving once. He had been up for close to 48 hours...

What do you do With the Backpack?

With those ages I wouldn't worry much about all the extras...I would take sunscreen, a few snacks and maybe a change of clothes but I would leave it all in the stroller. Otherwise, I would just have a small bag with the essentials that I would take with me on the rides. (I take a small bag...

How much time do you give yourself in the morning?

At the moment... I get up around 7:30. I feed the cat and the get the kids car snacks ready. I get dressed and take everything for work and daycare out to the car (I pack daycare bags the night before, husband gets lunch and coffee ready before he goes). I go get the girls up and get them...
