We always head straight to a park. If we arrive before our room is ready, we drop our bags at bell services for storage and then straight to a park. If our room is ready when we arrive, we just drop them at the room and then head to a park.
When our kids were this age our plan was to rope drop and focus on the most important attractions. Get your LL's for later in the day. Have lunch in the park and then head back to the resort for a 2-hour nap/break. Head back to the park and start using your LL's during what is typically the...
May the 4th (May the 4th be with you!) is a big day for Star Wars fans and DHS is usually very busy on that day. Sometimes the crowds may also impact May 5th. That is the reason for the question.
Twice yearly (May & October) 5 or 6 day trips. All park days! Our summer beach trip is for resting! :P
When the kids were young, we still did all park days, but we usually took a 2 hour break in the middle of the day.
Definitely brings back memories! We got them in MK on our first day of our trip and then got one at HS on the second day of our trip! Year of a Million Dreams was definitely one of their best events. Definitely peak Disney.
We've been using the Fuel Rods and they are so handy because you can just swap them out, they are also small enough to fit in a pocket. We started going bagless a few years ago and so most days we just have our phones, fuel rods, and magic bands with us.
We rode the horse drawn carriage on May 5th and the barbershop quartet rode with us. We've had that scenario quite a few times over the years, and it's always so much fun!
We tend to stick to Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bill's for QS. We actually like Tony's and feel the quality of the food has improved during a time when it's declined at many other spots. My wife and I like Skipper Canteen, but the kids don't. Liberty Tree Tavern is a safe option, particularly...
No flames, but I would not want to see HM changed in that way. Now, I would certainly love to see Muppet Vision 3D get a makeover to incorporate this theme!
Coolio. I did see them in 2019, and then we skipped 2020 for the first time in 20 years. As inaccurate as their posted times were this trip, maybe they should consider bringing them back? :D8-)
We did Boo Bash on 10/5, which was a sold out event. We were prepared for the worst, but it turned out to be fantastic! By 9:30pm, we were seeing very low waits for pretty much everything save for 7DMT. My kids are older and just really wanted to focus on the rides. We saw nearly empty queues at...
On the previous page, I mentioned in our trip from 10/2 - 10/6, we found Disney's posted wait times to be off in both directions nearly every time. They used to give someone in line a card you would hand to the CM at the end of the queue and they would scan that to determine how long it took you...
Just got back. Stayed at Art of Animation from 10/2 to 10/6. Saturday we hit MK, and though it seemed to be moderately crowded, the wait times did not reflect that. Waits were pretty reasonable all day, save for SDMT, which was around 50-60 minutes whenever we checked. We hopped to HS around 5pm...
