    Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance

Hi, Sorry for the delay. The pool is open year round, but may close at dusk. While I was there the slides closed at dusk but the pool opened until 10pm. I don't know if it would be warm enough to swim in winter. I guess it depends what climate you are used to. :)

    Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance

Hi Jan. I'm not sure. I'm going down to grab a coffee in a minute, so I will ask for you. :)

    Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance

That is great. You will really enjoy the hotel. It is super nice and so close to the parks. If your room doesn't overlook the fireworks - they seem to have a viewing area right next to the pool slides. I don't know if they have another one also but it is so nice to see the fireworks after you've...

    Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance

Ok, so I arrived yesterday morning and here are my first impressions: You can still smell the newness of the hotel. Everything is so clean. The staff are lovely and so friendly. Because of this, you still feel like you are in the parks when you get back to the hotel. I arrived at around 8am...

    Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance

Hi, I would check again that the room would be ok for 5, just incase as it sounds a lot like my room. I got a king fireworks view room with balcony. It has a king bed, bunkbeds and a sofa. But the sofa is a small corner sofa - I don't think it would be comfortable to sleep on at any age. If your...

This Might Seem a Bit Sad & A Couple of Questions

I'm on my first trip to California. I haven't been to a Disney park for 9 years after a bad experience (nothing at all to do with Disney). I'm travelling alone - my kids are at an age where they want to go on vacation without me. So I'm in Santa Monica right now and I'm too excited to sleep...

$$ rate at a 52 week high today

It doesn't help me. I get paid in dollars, then they are converted to pounds so lower is better. :) I can understand why you want a good rate though. I once visited Disney when we were only getting $1.38 to the pound and it made the trip so much more expensive.

Must do places to eat in WDW...

You won't regret Sci Fi. It's fun. Your 7 year old will be fine in Hollywood Brown Derby. She may not find it as exciting as some of the other restaurants but the food is great. My DD ate there at 7 with no problem. :) Someone mentioned later on that you may have miscalculated your dining...

    booking direct with Disney

Lol Hobbes - I wish. :) I've heard of people getting the chance to stay in the castle before but I have no idea how they got to do it. I don't remember the dates they offered the dining plan on the UK site this year but I think it was most months except for April. Don't think it included...

    Beginner Brief Itinerary - Opinions?

I also agree on the first night. We tried to visit the Magic Kingdom twice on our first night - it left us all tired and kind of spoiled the next morning a bit. Even though my kids are older teenagers now, we are all in agreement that the first night it is best just to eat and chill at the...

Must do places to eat in WDW...

Hi, It seems like you have made some great choices so far. While I love many of the Disney restaurants we only really have two must do's: Chef Mickey's, but we prefer it for breakfast as opposed to dinner if it fits with our itinerary, and Sci Fi for lunch or dinner. Neither of those choices...

    booking direct with Disney

11 months out is fine. It will save you money and you will have more control over your reservation, if you need to make changes etc. I never book too far out. I made my reservation with Disney 9 months ahead this time, so we could get the free dining offer and that is a loooong way ahead for me.

    just back highs and lows

Sounds like you had a fab time, apart from being punched and the weirdo who leaned on you. I have to say you are lucky you missed the food in DTD Rainforest Cafe tho. :)

    Virgin Flying Club question

I'm guessing you can. I've booked a one way upper class reward flight from New York before.

Just returned from the Wilderness Lodge..Really nice but not Deluxe!

Lol - I just looked at the dates and realized how old your review is. :) I felt the same way as you after staying at the Beach Club. I found a lot to like about it, but I don't think anything beats the theming and atmosphere of WL. I can't wait to go back next year.

    Virgin Sale before next July?!!

I didn't realize that A330's have fewer seats. Do they still have premium economy in the bubble on those or is it a different set up?

My Magical Trip Report - Just Back!

Sounds like you had an awesome time. I totally agree on Chef Mickey's. It is so much fun and the one breakfast we have never missed. DD and DS will be 17 and 19 on our next trip and they still want to do it. I haven't stayed at CBR but always thought it looked really pretty. I had no idea about...

Birthday whilst in Florida - What would you do?

I did my 30th in Disney when my kids were small but that was a loooong time ago. We did Magic Kingdom in the day. In the evening we all went to Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner, then we got a sitter from Fairy Godmothers to look after the kids in the hotel room while we went to Pleasure Island...
